Feel Hostels City Center

Malaga, Spain
100%

Overall, it's a great hostel right in the center of Malaga center. Has facilities that will satisfy all needs, including breakfast, free Sangria and dinner offers as well as lounge area for socialization. The only drawbacks are bathroom facilities should be kept and cleaned better as well as including soap!

Cadiz Inn Backpackers

Cadiz, Spain
91%

Overall, it's a fine hostel. Breakfast is rich compared to other hostels. The only drawbacks are opening hours of reception (whether or not it's an off-season problem) and availability of a common room/lounge area where people can spend time/relax without any time restrictions. It is also more expensive compared to most hostels in Spain.

Grand Luxe Hostel

Seville, Spain

It's a great value for money, with service and facilities compared to other hostels in Spain. It has a rich breakfast with good facilities for relaxing and terrace. Highly recommended. Location is great within walking distance from the Cathedral, historical area as well as night life area.

Be Mar Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

Overall it's a fine hostel. However, there is a problem with management/staff. Management has NO control of party goers screaming, yelling and running around the corridors from MIDNIGHT to EARLY mornings.Being a party hostel is fine as long as you control nuisance and bad behavior by separating rooms, corridors or kicking out.Bad behavior and abuse SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED AND FORCED BY MANAGEMENT!!!

Amour d' Auberge

Good location to reach many parts of Medina and Jemaa el Fna. Atmosphere can be great and lively whilst many travelers stay at the hostel. Staff are great and helpful. One visible problem is that the facilities are not (sometimes) sufficient to provide a high quality of stay and satisfaction which is also a common problem in hostels in Morocco.

Riad El Pacha

Essaouira, Morocco

I rated this hostel a little bit over due to its location, the amazing staff and the atmosphere you can get in this hostel. You can enjoy the Moroccan life at the dinner and music nights they have daily/regularly which makes perfect for the travelers who are into culture/inter-culture as well as other activities. Facilities are not that great to provide a high quality of service and satisfaction but this is a very common problems in many hostels in Morocco.

I rated this hostel a little bit over due to its facilities (much better than most hostels in Morocco). Despite some problems arising from the off-season activities such as maintenance/repair works, lack of atmosphere and annoying staffs with lack of communication and respect could disturb your stay/vacation. Other than that, during the right seasons it could be a pleasant stay.

Aline Hostel

Chefchaouen, Morocco

Overall, it's a good location and pleasant stay at this hostel but not a wow factor. Value for money is great though considering the quality, facilities and services (which has a kitchen for use, not common in Morocco). The only problem arises with the challenges of language barriers and record keeping as you might be asked couple times whether you have paid or not!

I rated this hostel a little bit over due to its facilities (much better than most hostels in Morocco), staff and breakfast. I had the opportunity to stay at the terrace which is awesome (much better at summer times).

A&O Leipzig Hauptbahnhof

Leipzig, Germany
91%

Overall, it is a good place with a high quality and cleanliness at a reasonable price. Close to the train/bus station so transportation and walk to the old town is not an issue. The only problem with A&O chains is that they act like Ryanair of hostels where they charge for everything including sheets, tea/coffee and not much space for relaxing/lounge/interacting with other travelers so that missing the whole soul of hosteling and backpacking.

A&O Dresden Hauptbahnhof

Dresden, Germany
77%

In general, a clean place for staying short periods but does not have the atmosphere of hostels you generally see around the world. It's more like a cheap hotel with good standards and cleanliness. Some of the annoying policies with A&O chains are charges with basics you mostly get in other hostels around the world (such as sheets, tea/coffee, internet and so on..)

100%

Good location with a high quality of service at a reasonable price. You can enjoy a hotel quality at a hostel price. Though it's generally filled with student groups where you might miss a hostel atmosphere or chances of meeting backpackers/travelers.

In general, the hostel chain provides all in one roof which is great for travelers as necessary. It's easy to travel from in/out of Gare du Nord/de l'Est but otherwise not the best place in central Paris.

The Penthouse Crib

Very close to the old town and hustle and bustle of the pedestrianized area of the city. Pleasant place for relaxing, sightseeing, and a breathtaking view of the city and the Rhodope mountain range. During the season, probably it's more vibrant. Nice staff. A kind gesture to provide a lift to the airport. Overall great value for money.

I ranked this hostel at a high score (despite my initial disappointment at check in & curfew hours). A very good value for money, very close to bus/train station which makes it easier to travel. Although it's not that close to the hustle and bustle of city, it is easy to walk and reach main areas/streets and sites. Staff are also very helpful.

The House Hostel Zagreb

Zagreb, Croatia
100%

Although I ranked the hostel at the top score, it's due to the atmosphere and helpful staff who made my stay enjoyable at this hostel. Not the best location, away from the hustle and bustle of Zagreb (such as nicely Tkalčićeva Street), more in a quite neighborhood, it's a walking distance to the bus station/train station for short stayers/night-travelers.

My worst experience in over 100 hostels around the world.Facilities are exaggerated incl free stuffs/breakfast.Misleading.Kitchen is dirty&stinky, open to common area which makes it very uncomfortable & crowded esp. on bad weathers.Communal areas are small compared to no.of people.Tons of rules on the walls, but no practicality(still noisy until 2-3 am).Receptionists were very unfriendly & stereotyped.People without heart and mind makes things worst.I DO NOT recommend any body for peace of mind.

On arrival we deemed this man unsuitable to stay in mixed dormitory. We would rather have a dorm bed empty than put someone in that may be a problem to other guests. He was offered the opportunity to cancel his booking with no further charge or stay in a private room. Even before the check-in process was complete he stated that he would rate us 20%, and so he has. Twice it would seem! I, as the owner of this property, struggle to believe that the creators of this website intended for its rating system to be used this way. That of course is just my opinion!

Staffs are great, many fun activities and club nights (free entries & drinks) My only recommendation would be - Lockers in rooms will improve security & tidiness (especially space) in rooms - Common (closed) areas should be extended especially during the bad weathers it can be over crowded - Internet should be faster & more reliable - More strict control on cleanliness in the kitchen and common areas

Despite the service and staff, the hostel is always packed. Rooms could be less crowded (fewer beds, more space and air conditioning). This is an overall problem in Barcelona despite the going rates and services you get compared to Madrid or Lisbon (especially).

Overall, it's in a good location; easy to access all sites by walking. Depending on the season and room location, the rating might be different. Overall, it's a very good deal for a central location including breakfast

Overall it is a nice hostel but... - rooms are small - walls are thin so not sound proof - only 1 bathroom per gender at each level - can be packed with school kids/groups which might be annoying at early mornings/nights during check-in/check out

Great place if you are planning for Kruger Park tours (free 2 nights if you book through the hostel web site). Nice environment for relaxing and enjoying an easy life around the pool & garden before heading to/after Kruger Park, animal parks and tours.

Nice hostel in a very small town. The only problem is that Corgniglia is a town on top of a hill, and not always easy to get around.

Very nice place, close to beach and all the vibes in the town. Affordable stay in a very posh town but get too crowded in very small rooms. Improvement Recommendation: Better kitchen (& utilities) & socialization (closed) area for all type of travelers.

Nice place (old building), close to all amnesties in town center. Improvement Recommendation: Rooms are either too small or too crowded which makes it very unpleasant.

Very friendly, well organized and efficient hostel. Literally, you can book and organize all activities in the front desk which helps a lot. Improvement Recommendation: Bathrooms/restrooms should be upgraded for cleanliness and comfort.
