The hostel was ok - friendly staff, nice kitchen, slightly institutional vibe but nothing spectacular. If you're looking for a homely quirky hostel then maybe this isn't the place for you but it's cheap and cheerful enough...

Ocara Hostel

A home away from home! The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming, the hostel was clean and comfortable with a bunch of excellent facilities - free breakfast, air conditioning, laundry service, bike hire, a pool table and tv room, and a hammock chillout area... It's located within walking distance of all the main attractions in Manaus, in a quiet residential street in the centre of town, and the staff are more than happy to recommend places to go - bars, restaurants, etc. A perfect hostel!!!
