Overall I reall like this hostel, the staff were very helpful, it's quiet and rooms were clean. It's around a 10-15 min walk to the beach but there are plenty of eating options close by. The major downside is that the office is not open between 1-4pm, or before 10 which makes it hard to know what to do with your luggage as international flights often don't fit in these timeframes. It would be nice to have better seating in the outdoor area too as most of the chairs were broken.

One of the nicest hostels in Hawaii (Hawaiian hostels are generally quite poor quality so its an average hostel if compared to Europe). great location, plenty of parking on the street, very clean, good sized rooms, very helpful staff. Only things that could be better is if there was a bit more privacy in the showers and that the door keys were easier to use. it can be noisy if you have an upstairs room but they strictly enforce a quite time after 10.30pm which is great.

Hawaiian hostels are generally poor quality, so this is actually one of the better ones. I've rated it in comparison to hostels worldwide that I've stayed in. The hostel is really dark and old, only 2 bathrooms so there can be a wait. the aircon in the rooms was extremely loud. great location by the beach but parking is limited both at the hostel and in the area. Payment is taken automatically off the credit card you book with - which was fine, but was a surprise

This is a low budget-family friendly resort with some dorm rooms attached, so it's a different vibe from a place that is just a hostel, lots of families. The room was nice, the outside showers are lovely, the beach is beautiful. There is a pool although mainly just the kids use it. I didn't see any cooking facilities so you have to buy meals off the resort - the seafood ones were delicious, the non seafood weren't great, prices in the $20-30 range. It was nice there to chill out for a few days.

Fantastic location in beautiful old house. beds were comfortable, dorms were spacious with everything you needed, breakfast was ok - glad it was provided. Stayed in winter so was too cold to use the backyard/balconies to the full extent but they are lovely spaces. Only minor things I didn't like - the dorm rooms could get quite stuffy/smelly, and some of the staff when they weren't working tended to sit round in the common areas and complain about working there (which is a bit of a downer),

great location and good value. everything gets cleaned well every day but due to the age and bad design the bathrooms get dirty quickly and the rooms have bad ventilation. Security is good except for the luggage room which is left unlocked all day, you can lock your suitcase to the wall but anyone could unzip your suitcase easily without being noticed.

The staff and location are beyond excellent, everything is easy to get to, the staff couldn't do more to help me with any concern I had and it was great that they checked me in early The security was very good, everything was clean The beds are dire, they appear to be new but they are squeaky, and uncomfortable (steel springs with a soft mattress). I don't know if my back could have coped with more than two nights on them. The breakfast is really not worth getting up for except to have coffee.

Loved this hostel, its like staying in a hotel, the rooftop bar is great, and a chill place to sit (except on weekends), the beds are very comfortable, clean with plenty of room and facilities such as towels, lights and outlets. The beds could be slightly better if they had curtains for added privacy. Only slight downsides is that the kitchen/lounge is a small basement room, and to be careful about charging drinks/meals to your room as I got charged twice, staff were great at sorting this out

The girls only dorm is noisy from the music downstairs bar which goes ALL night. The quietest room seemed to be the 10 bed mixed dorm. No locks on the dorm rooms, only on the lockers underneath beds. Great location if you want to go to bars/clubs.

Hi, thank you for the review. we already made an agreement with the bar for not to be loud and provide earplugs fro free to our guest in case of light sleep. there are no locks in teh entrance to the dorms as the acces is cintirlled an only guests allowed but also beacuse the guest in the dorm go and come at any time. thank to your comment will improve more for your next visit. kind regards Hostel Canun Natura

Feels like a hotel if you're staying in the private rooms. Dorms are good, ensuite bathrooms, very clean, hotel quality bedding, free towels. Could do with lockers in room, but room does have security key. Excellent location and free parking only 2 min walk away. No drinking allowed in the rooms (if that's an issue). Staff seemed a bit ambivalent but were fine at their job. It didn't seem that friendly a hostel but that can depend on who is there at the time.

Very cheap but you get what you pay for. the location isn't great, it's a 40 min bus to the centre of the strip ($8 a day) and a $20 cab at night. It really didn't feel safe to walk from the bus stop at night as you have to walk past some vacant lots and there are a lot of homeless people in the area. The rooms are ok, lockers(!) and warm in winter. The staff knew their stuff but seemed a bit jaded by it all. Next time in Vegas I'll stay midweek at one of the middle strip hotels.

Fantastic location for charlottetown, its slightly cramped but heaps of living areas. The breakfast is basic but good. Theres no lockers in the rooms, but the room doors have secure keypad locks. Beds are standard metal frames with plastic covered mattresses. All the staff seemed friendly and helpful. Bikes available to use. For a really nice day trip head to point prim where there is an amazing seafood cafe.

This is a great hostel to stay in, very clean and modern, very helpful staff, and only one subway stop away from Manhattan! The area is quite dark at night but I never saw or heard of anyone having issues with their safety. Just make sure to take the 21 street exits to save you walking down dark streets. My only recommendation is to put some shade on the rooftop for the summer months, and get less noisy air conditioners, as they do make it harder to sleep.

This is a very basic hostel, you are paying for exactly what you get. Rooms are concrete block with a fan, and only get cleaned at the start and end of your stay. Bathroom lights weren't working and bathroom rubbish didn't get emptied for the whole week that I was there, though the sinks did appear to be wiped down every day. Location is ok, it is only a 5 min walk to the beach, but it's 10 km from town. buses and food here are expensive! Best to hire scooter and bring food from nz.

The location is the hardest thing about this hostel, it's a struggle to get in and out of jasper, and the last shuttle is at 5pm so unless you have a car or pay for an expensive taxi you can't go into town for dinner or a drink. There is also no breakfast options, not even free tea or coffee so you must be organised before you get there. The dorm room is good, the bathrooms really need renovating as the showers are poor and toilet doors don't close properly. Staff are pretty sullen mostly.

One of the best hi hostels I've stayed in, only negatives is very slow internet (every traveller has at least a smart phone and a laptop/iPad these days, hostels should adjust their internet accordingly). Great location, mattresses are covered in plastic so they don't breathe and it can get a bit sweaty sleeping on them, and bed frames are metal, so squeaky. Rooms are a good size, and my one had a couch which was great. Breakfast is good, though hard to get seating. Staff were excellent apart from the cleaners coming in at 9.30am when checkout is 11am, this little bit of privacy is important when travelling!

The staff are ok, but they don't really go out of their way to ensure that you stay with the hostel. the free bus pass is brilliant. A lot of longterm people stay here, and consequently atmosphere isn't great, but it is quiet. The pancakes for breakfast are really good, but again its a shame that they can't be swapped for at least the cheaper items on the breakfast menu like toast, or the bagel. if you're there for a long stay you are soon sick of pancakes!

Thank you for your comments. The "brunch" of waffles and pan fried sausage and sweet peppers has been well received just like our Sunday BBQ. We're trying to do the brunch more often and will try to set it to a regular schedule. We're replacing our older mattresses over time. You must have had one of the older ones for which I apologize.
