stayed here only one night but i was impressed. Its not so difficult to find. its about a 10 minute walk down from the main gate.In fact as we were walking down the street we asked a man for directions and at the same time appeared hanan who is from the hostel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious. the breakfast here is great.
Ok hotel within walking distance to the famous Mosque. Has that old world charm about it. The man at the desk is really friendly and helpful. On arrival my friend noticed the bathroom wasn´t clean. Other than that the room is ok, quite place, didn¨t have any problem. Only spent one night here but would stay here again.
Having stayed here previously a number of years ago i found the atmosphere was not as i had remember. Didn't seem as fun. Maybe because their weren't alot of people. The staff are great very friendly and helpful. Slept really well. Location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk ti the main avenue
i have been to madrid many times and this was my first time staying in this hostel. me and my friend had our own private room, super clean. added bonus when we arrived as the lady at the desk gave us an ensuite at no added cost. breakfast is extra and costs 3.90 and is served in the cafe next door. buffet breakfast, perfect to prepare for the day ahead. Will be back next month.
I have stayed in abbey court many times over the years. I'm irish but live abroad but always try to stay here on my visit. This time was equally as good. I decided to stay a second night here but had to share the room with a group of young irish who were in town for a concert. No experience in staying in hostels and were completely disrespectful when I told them to be quite at 3 in the morning. I eventually had to call the receptionist who was my side
Had a wonderful stay and will return again. I had a 6 bed dorm all to myself as the hostel was quiet for Christmas. Staff great, Frederick organises pub crawls every night, on Christmas eve we had bottles of champagne for free. Great way to meet new people, I met some really cool people. I would recommend putting curtains in the rooms as I ended up waking early as I am sensitive to the light. Despite being on a main street it is very quiet as it's only a shopping street so good for sleeping
Having stayed in Equity point in girona, and heard great reviews of the one in barcelona, i was really disappointed with this one in madrid. I spent only one night. One thing i didnt like was the one key per room policy. it meant that as most people did´nt want to be woken up in the middle of the night to let you in, they would just let the door open. so security is a problem. the bathroom in my room was disgusting, no extractor fan or vents so after so many peòple showered it was awful
second time staying here in 3 years and i have to say it was just as good experience as the first time. Staff are great, the greek girl at the bar especially made everybody welcome, makes great mojitos. Location great just off the plaza de la merced. Don´t have anything negative to say about hostel
great place to have a good nights sleep in a really good area of Barcelona called the Exiample district, staff are super friendly, this is my second time staying here over the years and i definitely recommend it to everyone.
my second time staying here and the only reason i always stay here is the price and the location. i stayed in the 20 bed dorm which was, despite what some people might think, very quite. had a good nights sleep. pity there is only one bathroom for the whole room as the smell from there was unbearable. but for the price i paid, i didnt mind
despite reading some negative reviews for this place i was pleasantly surprised how cool its directly over the steamworks bar and very well located just 10 minutes walk to westminister , and a tube stop around the cornear. the rooms are a little crampled as the bunk beds are piled up 3 high. so needless to say the night i stayed i was a little drunk and had to try navigate my way to the very top bunk. no problems the staff were very friendly and the bar is cool, just a local pub . would go back
stayed here 3 nights, could not find any major only that sometimes i didnt feel so safe as the rooms were facing out onto main street and sometimes people coming back late at night didnt closd the door properly. very close to S Bahn to get into city centre but Friedrichshain is a cool area and there are many bars around there. only had buffet breakfast one moring for 3.90, was good value. staff friendly and definitely havea a drink in the new zealand bar down the street, same owners
horrible. i arrived at 10 in the night but was no one at reception eventually a young woman arrived with a crying baby in hand to check me in. no hello or anything. the hostel lacked all information about the luton area, even how to get to the airport in the morning.be aware the main down leading out on to the street is not locked at night so anyone can come or go as there is no night porter. the locks for bedroom doors do not lock perfectly either. will never stay here again
had no major complaints only that the bathroom smelt quite mouldy and there was water leaking down. breakfast was very good, big selection, staff friendly, night porter was always joking around. great location. if you are in the area make sure to call into Hayat cafe and, bar on the corner , had some fantastic tea and lots of funny experiences in there. run by a guy called ismet
spent only one night here but from what i saw was great. Staff were excellent so helpful and frıendly even when i arrived late at night. pity i couldnt stay longer but was taking bus 2 istanbul. breakfast was superbç lots of cheese bread jam ham juıce all you could eat. wıll definitely stay here if i ever come bck 2 sofia.
good hostel, great location. pity breakfast is not included but the cafe downstairs serves a superb selection and for 4 pounds 50 you can get a excellent full irish brekfast. dorms are clean , had a good sleep as it is a big hostel but noise was never an issue. i would return
good hostel in the right in the city centre, just 5 minutes walk from puerta del sol and huertes. also very close to atocha statiion. staff were just ok didnt go out of their way to make you feel special. especially the guy at breakfast, just chatting all the time in polish to his collegues. only stayed one night but probably would stay again
what a hostel, just the perfect place to stay very close to Djemma al Fna, the cleanest place i have stayed in a long time. a little difficult to find but it is definitely worth it. stunning roof terrace also
very good hostel in the heart of the medina; Brahim the guy that runs it was very helpful and went to meet me at one of the main gates surrounding the medina: otherwise it can be difficult to find. very quite location with a fantastic terrace. will definitely go back when in Essaouira. great town to chill out
all pretty great in this hostel, location is perfect just off o connell street, didnt have time for breakfast so cant comment on that. only thing i will say the corridors are quite confusing, all doors looked the same especially when i had to go find the shower room, i would stay here again
definitely the nicest hostel i have stayed in , although it is slightly more expensive then other hostels you do see their is a difference. all the rooms are carpeted and bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is great, have the option of a full irish breakfast or if you want something lighter, seems a popular hostel. only thing is its only got one computer if you need internet. common room is kinda small.
Hi, just stayed in the australian hostel for one night so cant really make a major comment about it. all i can say is the beds were clean as was the room. breakfast was continental. if i was pushed would stay their again but it was quite boring as i didnt meet any other guests at all. quite strange, maybe just because was off season.
stayed here before and reason only was the price and location, the staff have not changed a bit, when i was checking out the guy even didnt say goodbye, just talking on the phone and playing games on the internet, very near gran via and chueca metro station, not the place for meeting peole as living area very small, not alot people staying when i was their , breakfast is just ok, had a good sleep here, and for the price i would stay again. if its friendly, happy people who like to talk with the travellers, i suggest e;sewhere
Hi everyone, just after leaving the pavillion villiers, and have to say i really enjoyed my stay their. its located in a real parisian district east of the montmarte and is a very safe area. metro is just on the next street and you are in the center in ten minutes. the hotel itself is very quite and you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. whilst on the website it stated a bar present their, it was not really a bar at all, only a lobby in front of reception where you can have a drink, but as their was kids with me i was not their to party. breakfast excellent, all you can eat. staff very friendly although they might appear a little slow sometimes, hot water all the time and the rooms also very warm, for the price it was really good as i normally am not one to stay in hotels, mainly hostels go their and you wouldnt be disappointed. their is a really good Algerian-French restaurant, Au bon couscous on Boulevard de batignolles
hi, stay at barbieri hostel was great, comfortable hostel, not really in a very noisy area as mentioned in other reviews, i had a good sleep their. only thing i would say is the common room is quite small and not really a great hostel to interact with other guests. facilities are their but you have to pay for anything extra if you want it. staff were just ok, night porter barely looked at you when he spoke. for the price and location i probably would stay their again.
hi well this is my second time rating this hostel, kinda made a mess of it the first time round. really good hostel in malaga, the best. The staff were excellent their especially the Slovakian girl, i cant remember her name but she really was cool, so helpful all the time, it was like being at home. the beds were the best, it was the best sleep i had in ages. The area is great, picassos corner is right by the plaza merced which is a great area to go for a few drinks. also they have a really cool terrace in picasso corner. will be back, hopefully it will be the same. thanks guys
having read the previous bad reviews before staying here, i was quite surprised. when i arrived i found the place to be very friendly and full of life. The reception and bar are one of the same so your never short of finding a staff member if you need something. The location is great, right in the center, just off the Damruk. This street, the warmostratt is mainly geared towards gay men when it comes to nightlife. their is quite a huge gay club, cockring, down from the winston, heard it was pretty good, if your into that kind of think Rooms in the winston were perfect, one exception was our toilet light didnt work but that didnt cause much problems. if i was to come to amsterdam again i probably would stay here. Friendly staff especially a long haired older guy. on the first eveing i was here, a staff member broke a glass just right by where i was eating. now i was pretty sure none fell in to my food but he insisted that he get me a fresh meal, fish and chips. he also bought me another drink so a good guy. And the food is very good in the winston.
I would not stay in this hostel again. The only thing good about it was the location. I found the staff not very helpful, as when i arrived i asked for a map of Santiago and they didnt have. In fact they had no information whatsoever in the hostel. It was also quite boring and the breakfast was very poor.
