Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spotless. Decent breakfast. We stayed here one night and then returned again after coming back from Sapa. Wifi and air-con are strong. No complaints at all.

Staff were mixed- some very nice and some not so. The hotel was very loud as the building next door is being renovated and the work starts very early. Very nice pancakes for breakfast. We booked a train to Hue through the hotel and despite giving 3 days notice they booked the wrong tickets. Overall it was ok, but we have stayed in way nicer places in Vietnam.

Fastasticly friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean hostel. Decent internet. Great views of Cusco. Spacious rooms with comfy beds. Can be cold at night in the hostel, but it was winter. Kitchen can be a bit messy, but is fine. Good mix of people staying with plenty of common areas for socialising.

Pool was great. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. Location is quiet and away from main square. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed large and clean. We were mis-sold a tour (we wanted a 3 day one but were told there were only 4 day available and then half our group were on a 3 day) but that is more against the tour company in the hostel than the facilities of the gostel itself. Staff were friendly and helpful apart from that.

The dogs were lovely! Good location within walking distance to everything. Extremely clean. The double rooms are in a quiet separate building down the block with its own kitchen. Great juice in the mornings. Only complaint we had was we were moved from one room to another three times which is annoying. Apart from the owner the staff did not have much English but that's our problem as we are in South America and should have more Spanish!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff- always chatty and full of advice. Decent kitchen. We stayed in both a dorm and a double room. The dorms had a good amount of space and the aircon was ok. The double room was great. The hostel could do with a couple of more bathrooms. Location is fantastic right in the old town. Nice balcony and good size common area.

Four bed dorm was spacious with decent bathroom. Very nice pool. Internet access all over was fast with computers available with headsets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast. Location is good- far enough away from all the bars on the waterfront to be quiet but still only a short walk. Hostel has a nice balcony up at the bar.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Double room was very large and comfy with air-con and fan. Cleaners going around constantly so place is very clean. Good atmosphere in bar and communal areas. Very nice dogs and cats. It can be a bit loud, but that is to be expected in a large hostel with a bar.

The kitchen is only availble until 1900 as it turns into the bar after that. No direct access to fridge- have to ask staff to put stuff in and take it out. Hard to know who is working there sometimes as there can be lots of non guests hanging around watching tv. Very nice bunks with reading lights and sockets. Good air-con (though only on at night). Laptops for guest use is good. Breakfast is ok but there are no tables or space to eat it. Good location only a few blocks from the beach.

Very friendly cleaning/ breakfast lady. Decent breakfast. Secure hostel. The tv room was taken over by staff each evening. Decent location next to big supermarket and less than 10 minute walk to bus station/ old town. Prices tripling at weekends when place was half empty was bad.

Dear guest, Thanks for your visit. We appreciate your comment. JUst to clarify our prices are not tripling at weekend. They are the same. The weekend when you were here was a Holiday with special prices. Its why the prices were higher. Thank you!

The main guy on duty (in the evenings) was great- really friendly and helpful. He was full of information and recommendations. The other staff were not as good. The location is brilliant- quiet at night yet right on the subway and walkable to virtually everything in the city. The internet was good and the rooms were a decent size. The hostel could do with being cleaned a bit more often and little things like the toilet paper running out more than once are a bit annoying.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean bathroom but need more than one shower for shared rooms.breakfast and kitchen were ok. Location is good for getting to buses and airport and we could easily walk to city centre. Good wifi- able to skype with ease.We arrived early in the morning after a delayed flight and the guy at reception was really nice and made sure we got sorted with a room quickly.Only bad side was that there was a lot of noise from the communal courtyard one night until after 0300.

Everywhere is clean. Plenty of communal space- both indoor and outdoor. Bathrooms have plenty of towels, soap and toilet roll. Powerful showers. Swimming pool in nice and is cleaned every morning. Breakfast is decent. Our first room smelled like a sewer but we returned to the hotel after the salt flats tour so it didn't deter us! Our room the second time around is even nicer.

Mixed staff- some very helpful, some not so much. On one occasion we asked for some local Peruvian food restaurants and we were directed to two chippers and a street with no restaurants! One staff member took open backhanders from taxis they suggested we take instead of buses. Showers were either just scorching hot or freezing cold. Good location just a 15 minute walk from Kennedy Park. Kitchen facilities not great. Room (double private) was large and comfy.

Good kitchen, great location, free parking was very good. Showers could do with a makeover or at least a deep clean. Staff were helpful. Not much socialising among the guests but that may just have been a once off.

I stayed in this hostel back in 2008 and thought it excellent and so stayed again on this trip to Toronto. The hostel is in a great location in the city centre and the room (private double) was large and comfortable. The kitchen in the building we were in- 10 Clarence Sqaure as opposed to the main hostel at 8 Clarence Square- was filthy though with a layer of mould over items in the dishwasher and not many utensils available for use.

Needs lockers or at least more bag storage space in rooms but apart from that very good breakfast, fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, great free internet, very good tv and social space and just a nice atmosphere around the place.

Owner Comment (Hide)
If this was a concern for this guest, it is news to us! We have both lockers for a person valuables and luggage storage for the bigger bags that people need stored. All you have to do is ask! Which this guest never did for for his entire 2 day stay!
