Price and location perfect - just a few minutes walk from the bus station, train station and airport bus! And for those who don't know the city, all of these are located right in the centre, just off Princes St. The great thing about this hostel is that even though the above are in a nice area anyway (unlike many cities), the hostel is a few minutes away from the buzz of Princes St, in a quiet road, so it's great for sleeping. Very cosy and a smart idea to offer toiletries and straighteners.

One of the cleanest and probably the best-looking hostel I've stayed in (the showers are first class). If you don't know Paris, rest assured it's in a nice, safe area that is very well connected, near to two metro stations and within walking distance of some great places like rue Mouffetard and the Luxembourg. Thanks again to Monika at reception who is extremely helpful and very professional.
Modern, near the metro, great bkfast, air-con (essential for a good sleep in humid summer days) and fab showers. Rooms not spacious but clean. Such a shame then that it's let down by the staff - or at least the three I had the misfortune of dealing with (one I didn't know provided the first smile on the last day). N the Italian, J the Pole and J the Spaniard - I don't know why you are in the service industry. It is not cool to be cold and unfriendly and even rude. I nearly left because of you.

I don't think anyone could ask for anything more for the price. Very smart and very secure. Very easy to reach from the train station. My room was more tastefully (and originally) decorated than a lot of pricier hotels. Excellent place to stay. Complimenti ai proprietari!
A good hostel. More spacious than some I've stayed in. Helpful staff. Location is perfect. Also, other people in the dorm seemed more considerate than some hostels - maybe it's because Paradis is also a hotel that people behave better!
It is a 20-minute walk from the metro but it IS a very good area and feels very safe. The staff are mostly friendly. Issues are with the SIZE of everything. The lift didn't work mostly when I was there (and 5 floors up with heavy luggage which the bloke didn't offer to help with..) and the lift is so small anyway. They also need to be more notices reminding guests to be considerate of others. Seemed to be lots of immature people there of every age. Sharing space means being considerate of others
I'd definitely recommend Uria. It is great value and there is nothing to complain about the room: comfy bed, working and new shower, clean etc. The location is ideal too - a few mins walk to the old town, 15 mins to the train station and a bit less to the bus station. I would not hesitate to book here again.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Good value, very clean and perfect location for bus/train station as well as being a few minutes walk from the walled city. Has a "new" feel too (like it's been recently renovated) but still has character and looks good from the outside as well
Basic room in a nice old and characterful building with garden. Pretty good value overall and I'd maybe stay here again. A plus too to be out of the bustle of the centre as it's several stops on the subway and a short walk. A definite downside is the noise at night which the name and surroundings (old Seminary) wouldn't make you expect! There seems to be a boarding school of some sort attached: there was a disco with loud music into the early hours Fri and a noisy ball game in the afternoon.
A place I'd always recommend. Very fair prices and a great atmosphere: because the staff are always friendly and helpful. It's a bit further out of the centre than some others but this is definitely in its favour and yours if you want something central-ish and quieter - because it's off the main road but still less than 5 minutes from the subway. And the subway is on the right line for the airport so no need to change. Clean sheets and dorms and nice towels. You get the impression they care!
Very satisfied. Basic yes, of course but we paid $30 a night. I honestly have no idea what people expect for that. You see cleaners all day and security guards; you can use the gym; you can pay a deposit for a fan; the atmosphere was always convivial. Heck, they even supply clean sheets and pillow cases, towels and lots of soap. The location is perfect - walk downtown in 20 mins, next to a uni and music school so lots of cafes and very safe, 2 mins from the T and 15 mins walk to two art museums.
Pretty good hotel with many more pluses than minuses - friendly staff, decent-sized room, good value, very near Metro on "Left Bank line", very near a supermarket, on a little quiet street but not too quiet as very near a busy square. Only minus is they could improve the shower a little and maybe replace the stairway carpet, but it is good value so you can't complain.
Excellent place to stay and good value. Recommended. 10 mins from the station, 20 mins (on foot) from the sea. A door as thick as a brick and double glazed so actually v quiet, even on a Saturday night. PS Naples is a great place. Get past Pzza Garibaldi at the train station which can be intimidating and go with the flow - it's the most honest city in Europe in that has no pretensions to be anything other than itself.
Would recommend Larios. Very central, very efficient, attractive, clean, friendly. "Fun" category better applied to youth hostels. I appreciate somewhere like this (single room) to crash and wish they had more basic hotels like it in GB. Love the "hostal" system.
Lots said about area being dodgy (a guy from Bilbao I met later in Spain confirmed this but it is or was a uni residence so it can't have been that bad) and maybe true that it might not be a good idea to return after dark alone as a female. BUT! That can be said for lots of places and the feeling of security INSIDE is second-to-none, vv clean, friendly, convenient location. Can't have everything!! Recommended.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff (who spoke good English). Walls maybe a bit thin, but could be down to certain other residents screaming at each other instead of talking! - wouldn't call it noisy, though. Right next to metro stop and also walkable (15 mins) to Rossio square. Good value and recommended.
