Biggest problem was the room was dreadfully hot, with no way to open a window or any form of ventilation. Also, the bagels as part of the free breakfast were really stale, and the TV in the breakfast area was so loud it hurt(who want dance music at 8am?!) with no remote available or buttons on the TV to do anything about it.

I've stayed here a few times and the place is fantastic but is always let down by the state of the bathrooms. every time I went to the toilet the floor was coated in liquid, toilet paper everywhere and an awful stench. It's really unfortunate as everything else about this hostel is above and beyond what you would expect from a hostel. They need to learn from other places that an hourly check of the facilities makes a big difference!

Hatters on Newton Street

Manchester, England

The only proble was that the room I was in had very thin blinds that faced the main road, meaning the room was flooded by orange street lights.

Smart Russell Square Hostel

London, England

Its a young hostel still trying to find its feet. doors are labelled with notes stuck to them, the wi-fi is tempremental and theres no sign outside to help people find the place, but saying that it was a coftortable sleep and their lounge has comfy sofas and a pool table. they are very cheap and good for a night or two and they let you drink alcohol in the lounge. Be Warned: the large dorm is full of triple bunks that your boxed into and the breakfast is very basic.

Very easy to get too from the tube station and deffinitly the best hostel i've tried in London. the breakfast is average but free and the rooms are spacious. will use this hostel again next time :)

Peace & Love Hostel

Paris, France

As others have said, it's not a quiet place and there are a lot of stairs but the people who run the place are incredible! Look out for Josh, Miss Pennsylvania & the adorable Charlie :) if you stay there say hi from Skippy for me :)
