nice staff, great location, clean & big room :-)
more like a hotel than a hostel. the staff were amazing, really helpful and friendly, thanks! good breakfast included with fruit, eggs, yoghurt, bread, cheese/ham, coffee. really secure building, just a few blocks from the la mariscal area, and a great indian restaurant across the road. it is a bit on the pricy-side but definitely worth it, the shower was always really hot. only bad thing was it was quite noisy between 4-8am with the car lot across the road.
Good location a couple of blocks from the square and the pedestrian street with shops/restaurants. Cheap veggie restaurant just down the road (5 soles for the set menu). Staff were great, bed wasn't the comfiest and the shower on the top floor had really weak water pressure, but otherwise fine. The owners also had a very cute little dog who walks about the hostel :-)
we were only here for 1 night, but the beds were comfy. bathroom a bit dated looking, but shower was fine. huge kitchen and great staff, location is great, right in miraflores, and just round the corner from an amazing supermarket (wong's)
cosy rooms in an old style building, with a great view of cusco. very secure (outside door was always locked). great location, though up a hill (which works well on your fitness/acclimatising!). the couple who run the place were lovely. the only issue was that the bed was really creaky, but we stayed here almost a week and would recommend - thanks! :-)
the room was pretty basic, but the shower was amazing, hottest and strongest we've had so far in peru! it was sometimes a bit difficult to get the owner-lady's attention as she was busy with other things, but she was really friendly. excellent location right on the square, and we left our backpacks over night while we went down the canyon with no problems (3 soles each).
The hostel is in a great building with great terraces for catching the sun and views of the volcano and surrounding mountains. Location is great too with the main square a few minutes walk away. Staff were very helpful. Things to improve might include the lighting in room being really dim, the intercom going off loudly through the night and the charge of 7 soles to use the oven. Other than that it's a cool place in a great location in an amazing city.
the trapeze is cool! the hostel looks like it could do with being painted, but it's really clean .good kitchen and nice staff.
Great hostel. Relaxed, laid back atmosphere and great staff to help you get around the city. Nice common areas to meet fellow travelers too. If you're arriving in Santiago after a long flight or bus journey this is the perfect place to recover before exploring the city.
the blonde lady on the front desk was awesome helping us with tours etc, thanks!
great location, and we loved the pool table! unfortunately were sharing a room with a guy who snored like a wilderbeast ALL night, but that's not the hostel's fault! not many ppl staying but it was winter, can imagine it would be a great place in the summer, and the breakfast was good too.
this place was amazing, more of a boutique hotel than a hostel. the owner cooked us a really nice meal & picked out a brilliant bottle of Uruguayan red to go with, it was a bit on the expensive side, but as it was a 30th b'day we didn't mind. we chatted with the owner that evening, but he gave us space while we ate. we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the peace of the farm & to try out the sauna! it's a great place to stay between montevideo and colonia. as it's a farm there are dogs,
great location for the bus to the falls, lots of restaurants close by too, and a big supermarket next to the bus station for stocking up on snacks etc for long bus trips.
this hostel could benefit from some sort of soft seating like sofas or beanbags, didn't like the plastic bed covers as it was very sweaty, and the 10 bed dorm was cramped with a low ceiling which made it a bit claustrophobic on the top bunk, but it's a nice old building so not much they can do about that! the staff were really friendly & helpful, and the kitchen area was really good - thanks :-)
very nice showers and good a/c, staff helpful and free breakfast. would stay here again for a couple days, but a bit expensive for any longer than that
although this place was nice, clean and cheap, it was so far out that tuktuks were almost a must. shame really as everything else was fine.
really good A/C in room, 8 bed dorm is actually 16 bed dorm, good location, but think probably better hostels in the area.
hostel owner is really nice and friendly. rooms are massive, and comfortable, also only place in china this summer that gave us a nice thin sheet rather than a massively over thick duvet! would stay here again
room was damp, washing machine broke but wasn't fixed. noisy at times. generally had to wait a while for staff to react or do anything e.g. serve you! but ok nonetheless.
for the price the showers could have been much cleaner/nicer. cross between hostel/hotel which doesn't work too well. but beautiful building in great location with nice staff and v. comfy beds. bar too expensive, dull and devoid of people.
this hostel was great, really peaceful but a very enjoyable atmosphere. we had some probs with our booking after we went to the gorge, but they sorted it out quickly and gave us all an ensuite! ｉ ｗｏｕｌｄ ｈｉｇｈｌｙ ｒｅｃｏｍｍｅｎｄ ｔｈｉｓ ｐｌａｃｅ
day time staff speak no english, and generally seem to be a bit confused about why you are there! bookings didn't seem to matter either. the hostel is sort of tibetan style and amenities are basic but ok. other backpackers are friendly and it's an alright place for 1 night.
more like a hotel than a hostel, beds weren't that comfortable, but overall a great place for the money
the beds were comfy, the bathrooms/toilets excellent and always clean, the location was very central, even the bar was nice (although the menu was incorrect, and the bar was expensive and not well stocked) the staff spoke good english and seemed almost too helpful, the only drawback was that the hostel didn't have any atmosphere and seemed empty most of the time, but otherwise fine.
great hostel, staff very friendly, good atmosphere, and lovely dog called 'teddy'! tom (staff member) was also extremely helpful and knowledgable. excellent place to stay!
the walls in this hostel are paper thin, so you can hear everything that is going on outside your room, including people burping, hocking up and talking on the phone at 3am! also our room didn't have a window and the bed was quite lumpy! if it wasn't for the location in wudaoku i would definitely not stay here again.
very nice hostel (reflected in the price). everything is newly decorated and clean.
only one bathroom & toilet for the whole hostel! but staff were very friendly and the kitchen was good. bit hard to find though
very near the port and about 15 minute walk into the old town. hostel rooms were a bit like offices but not bad nonetheless.
this hostel is MASSIVE! it was being redecorated when we were there and looks like it will soon be very nice. the staff were very friendly and helpful, location was good too.
clean new shower rooms, nice bar area, buses into centre quite regular. supermarket very close for food & drink etc
this was like an old persons hotel! a bit fawlty towers! but it was still cool and we had a good time staying here.
this was like a halls of residence style hostel, it was very big and grey. think the beds had plastic covers on the mattresses too!
