Very much a backpacker hostel! If you're looking for a good time then this is the place to be in Stockholm to meet others and socialise, party etc. That said, the rules are followed and it is quiet from 11pm onwards. A strange set up in terms of the dorm rooms and toilets can be hard to find! Some not the cleanest. The area as a whole has some cool features though and character. Decent location, about 10-15 min walk from central station. Staff were ok but not very knowledgeable!
Thanks for your opinions. Great that you found the location useful and enjoyed the layout of the hostel. Our housekeeping tries their best to keep the common shared areas clean, but they do not work 24/7 - sorry that we could not live up to expectations. We wished you told us directly if you were unhappy about the state of the bathrooms - we would have loved to made them better for you. We always have staff on hand 24/7 if any guests need help with anything. Most welcome to stay with us again if you are passing through Stockholm! Best wishes, City Backpackers Team

This is not really a hostel as such but nonetheless, I had a great stay. Located just off the main square in Brasov. Owner is really nice and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and I had it all to myself. I don't think there was anyone else staying there at the time which was great.

Beautiful location with mountain views etc. but actually rather far from the centre. Great breakfast. Staff are ok, nothing special or helpful but expected in some hostels in central/western Europe. Comfortable rooms and space.

Great place, location and staff. However, my charger did mysteriously disappear when left attached by my bed and no-one had any idea what happened to it. Staff gave me a new one to keep which I appreciated. Good place to meet others and had a fun New Years Eve celebration there with food/drinks etc. by the staff which was very kind.

No idea how this is rated so highly. It's just a guy's apartment so space is very limited and facilities are at a minimum. Location is far from the centre (relatively speaking), no large lockers, no atmosphere. Cute cat though.

Well located, comfortable and good value. Not much atmosphere and not the most charming place however. Kitchen/lounge area was rather grim. Staff are decent.

Privately owned accommodation by two lovely ladies who are super kind and friendly. Not much atmosphere but only because there was hardly anyone else staying when I was there. I can imagine it's a fun place to relax when it's busy. Had a short but sweet time here and definitely will return if I'm back in Girona.

Awesome place located in Gracia, a very unique area of Barcelona which is definitely worth visiting to get away from the madness of the city centre. Super clean and stylish, very comfortable rooms, great staff and the amazing home cooked meal one night was a real treat.

Does not deserve the high rating. A strange place as it's not really a hostel, rather a small apartment! Didn't find it all that comfortable spending a few days here. Owner who lived in the place himself was helpful but his English is weak so it's hard to explain anything or discuss something if you need to. Nice living room but no real atmosphere. Decent location though.

Fantastic place to stay. Loved the lounge area/terrace, breakfast and general atmosphere. Only slight negative is that it's a little far from central Jerusalem - around a 20 minute walk.
Hello. Thank you for your feedback. Although we are situated in the center (a 5 min walk max to the restaurants and bars and 15 min to the Old Center). All in all, we hope you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again in the future. All the best, Stay Inn Hostel

Immaculately clean and spotless dorm rooms and the place in general was great. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The only issue is that the bunk beds are huge and if you are sleeping on the top bunk bed - BEWARE! There are no barriers or safety measures to ensure you don't fall off the bed in the middle of the night!
thanks very much! next time ask for bottom bed if you prefffer. ANyway no worries, we designed this huge bunkbed for your confort and no one fell down in our 6 year hostel life:)

A decent location, very close to the castle and the royal mile. Excellent place to relax, 4 very cool lounges and common areas which all have their own unique style - very cool! Rooms are decent, airy and large. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Plenty of fun activities for guests to get involved in.
Thanks for the lovely words! We hope you can get up this way again soon :)

Very clean and well located place to stay to check out bergen. Only real negative is that the staff aren't present after 4pm in the winter so there is no one around if you have any questions / problems etc. Not exactly ideal.

Disappointing lack of basic facilities - 2 power points for a dorm room of 8 people, no large lockers, no soap in the bathrooms. Very basic accommodation so don't expect big things. Decent location, near the main station and not far from the harbour area.

Only spent a night here and had to leave in the morning but the place itself looked super nice and classy. Rooms are large and bathrooms/showers are very clean and modern. Handy location on the one of the more popular streets in the city. Staff don't seem to know their own city! One girl thought the Polish Jewish museum was the same as the Uprising one! Another guy didn't have a clue where the new years eve celebrations would be. Embarrassing in my opinion. Really nice breakfast - delicious waffles.

This is one weird place. No lounge or area to relax, just a small reception up the steepest stairs I've ever seen and a few dorm rooms, which themselves were fine. Staff are totally not with it (then again who is in Amsterdam!?) but location is ideal and central. Just about ok for a night.

Really homely feel to this place, enjoyed my stay overall. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hostel, very generous servings of various things and it was free! Staff are great and very hospitable. Location is a bit far from the city centre but close enough to the metro, bus stops etc. Toilets and rooms though were average with broken showers.

Not the most ideal location, about a 15-20 minute walk from the main town. Visiting during low season, so not many people around which meant atmosphere was lacking. Rooms were decent and comfortable although I had a rather unfriendly, snobbish American girl who was sharing the dorm room with me. Staff friendly and helpful.

As far hostels in Uyuni, this is one of the better places to stay. The highlight was no doubt having electronic heaters in each of the rooms which given the time of year I went was essential! No lockers or much else going on but nearly everyone is either heading out to the salt flats tours or coming back from them so a night here is fine.

Very rustic and basic accommodation which is fine for those staying a day/night. Staff are ok but not always present when you need them! I had to wait a few times for someone to turn up at the front desk. No lockers in the rooms but toilets/showers were fairly clean and functionable.

Naturally this hostel has a reputation and it lives up to it. Pretty much every night is busy, loud and chaotic. Great if you're into that but if you need a quiet, chilled out place to stay then this is not it. Toilets are some of the best I've seen in SA and staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is decent too.

Over-rated. Certainly did not meet my expectations as one of the highest rated establishments in La Paz. Rooms are very small and cramped, breakfast is your usual basic bread and butter (literally!) and toilets are pretty dirty and rustic. The owners are approachable and friendly and try to inject some atmosphere into the place. A massive big kitchen and communal area but not much going on.

Located further up the island, this place has a great view of the landscape and lake. Nice breakfast area too. Rooms are cold and not very well maintained and toilets and showers are naturally very basic given that the hostel is on an island.

AVOID IF YOU'RE A SOLO TRAVELLER. Hostel itself was fine, staff are decent and there is a cool movie room which is super cosy. The only issue I had with my stay was the other guests! The place is literally full of snobby frat boys and girls. No-one talks to each other and even bothers saying hello. Really unfriendly, snobby vibe in the whole place, really put me off which is a shame because the hostel itself is good. Do NOT stay here if you're a solo traveller!

Overall, a good experience. Definitely a party hostel but this place is so huge that it should not be an issue as most rooms are located far from the bar areas. Staff are excellent and very engaging, breakfast is above average and a generally decent, positive vibe. Thank you to the staff as well for finding my cap days after it went missing!

The best hostel/accommodation I experienced during my entire trip in South America. The location is a little far from the main village area but it is right next to the river and the mountains, both of which you can see from the rooms. Waking up to the sound of the river and the view was really special. Cosy lounge, big kitchen area, decent breakfast and a beautiful courtyard just outside with hammocks. Staff are great too. I felt like I was in a Swiss country lodge! A very memorable stay.

Was here for more than a week and largely enjoyed my stay. Staff are great, always willing to help. The open air courtyard is a great idea and the fireplace in the evening adds to the atmosphere. Nice, clean hostel located in a popular part of Madrid. Staff could be more attentive and helpful plus one of them thought it was a genius idea to knock on every door informing everyone about the bar crawl that night at like 11pm when some ppl were trying to sleep. Not everyone is interested in drinking and getting wasted. Overall though, a pleasant stay for the most part.

I have been to countless of hostels over the years and I can say for sure that the Tree House is one of the very best. Great location (close to main squares, middle of the old town), immaculately clean and comfortable rooms and toilets. The girls that run the place are wonderful, very helpful and kind. There is a cosy living room/kitchen area where you can chill out and meet other travelers. The atmosphere is so homely and peaceful. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Riga than here.

Ideally located right within the old town and 5 min walk from the metro stop. Clean, fun place to stay, decent atmosphere due to a large lounge area along with digital TV, free internet etc. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Only issue I would note is that the rooms were very tight; there should be more space in an eight person dorm room.

More of a home stay than a hostel, this is a short walk from La Concha beach. Rooms are a good size and comfortable, toilets though very small. The owner does not speak English but it's a great way to practice your Spanish!

Decent location, about 10-15 min walk from the old town and the beaches. Clean, well maintained etc but there's very little atmosphere in general due to a lack of a lounge/communal common room. Staff are ok. A good sized kitchen where you can socialize but that's about it.

Great place to stay in the capital. A convenient location not far from the centre and the staff are very helpful and overall, it's very comfortable. Perhaps the bathrooms could be cleaner but being a edgier, less modern establishment adds to the overall atmosphere. The bar is always lively especially in the evenings when they have live music and it's quite easy to meet other people. KEX would be my choice of accommodation if I visited Reykjavik again.

This is the very first hostel I stayed in when I arrived in Japan. I really liked the location. Asakusa is a more traditional district and lightens up during the evenings. The location is obviously the key selling point but other than that, it is relatively average hostel at best. Bed allocation on check in means that you have to use the bed they assign you to which doesn't help if someone else takes your bed. Wifi won't work if more than 2 people are on it and only works in the lobby. The staff should show more enthusiasm too, not the most attentive or friendly in my opinion. Rooms themselves are decent and a great free breakfast are some other positives

An excellent place to stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the rooms were clean, spacious with large lockers for extra security. Location of the hostel was excellent although can be tricky to find at first. The toilets and showers although fairly clean were rather tiny and cramped. A decent central location and not far from the skytrain and Granville island. The first night I spent here wasn’t great, the room was so hot and felt like a sauna and the pillows were rock hard. I returned a couple of days later to spend another night and I had a much better stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, large secure lockers and breakfast had a decent variety of cereal, toast, muffins and drinks. Staff are excellent and very friendly, especially Tera who was very helpful.

Overall a fairly positive experience. Previously having been a hotel it's not surprising that this place was so clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with decent size lockers, bathrooms large and clean and location of the hostel was central enough. The only real criticism is the lack of atmosphere, there's not really much going on within the hostel so it's hard to meet people perhaps if you're a solo traveller.

Decent enough for a short stay. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the 24/7 access is useful. The rooms were pretty dark and gritty and bathrooms likewise, they could certainly do with improving and refurbishing. Free breakfast is ok, nothing that special. They do make sure you can have fun here though, there are activities, tours, day trips organised by the hostel that will keep you busy and meeting others which is always nice when you're travelling solo

Overall location was excellent as it's very close to the main centre and old town (although a bit hard to find as it's located down some dodgy side street), along with the facilities and overall cleanliness. You can easily tell it's a rather new hostel as everything is quite modern. When I checked in the lady that was there was appalling. She hardly gave me any information about what to see, to do etc. and then just left me with the bedsheets and didn't even tell me where I had to go!
Thank you for the comment!! I am sorry to hear that you consider that the Ps Hostel Staff who did your check in was not the best! Generally our costumers always are more than happy with the assistance that we give to them! We always give the costumer a free map of the city and help them with the problems or doubts they could have! However if you think it was not the case, we can assure that you will be pleased in your next visit! Thanks!!

Overall, a reasonable place to stay. Was very central and close to the old town attractions, the castle and the park. On the top floor there was a really nice spacious kitchen and terrace area, which must be alot of fun during the summer. A fantastic, unique place to stay overall. The host, Jonathan is genuinely friendly, fun and hospitable and will make sure you are having a great time and fill you in on everything that worth seeing and doing in the city. Was a decent location, very near the station and easy to get to from the airport too. Average facilities and cleanliness but the place had no atmosphere whatsoever...lots of ppl were there but just doing their own thing, not much fun if you're travelling on your own. But there's not much on offer in Pisa in terms of hostels to stay so this is definitely a good choice considering how much you're paying too.
