Mamas & Papas Hostel, Gdansk, Poland

We really enjoyed our stay here. Mama and Papa are really friendly and helpful. Free beers were provided at the weekend and they put on a bbq. The hostel isn't in the centre of the city but it's easy to get to/from - there are regular buses which also run hourly through the night and taxis aren't that expensive.

I had a great time at this hostel. It's in a very good location, with lots of places to eat and within walking distance of local nightlife. It's also easy to get to various attractions from there. Breakfast is good and the owners are really friendly, and very knowledgeable and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the common room is good for meeting people.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They often offer food when they're cooking. Beds are comfortable, with fans to take off the edge of the heat there. Good kitchen and a nice garden to relax in. It's 20m from the main square which is really fun/tranquil/beautiful at night (depending when you go). The activities they offer are really good - definitely recommend the canyoning.

Good beds, a swimming pool and a nice bar area. Food from the restaurant is okay. There aren't any lockers for valuables. The bar is good fun at the weekend and the girl who runs it really helps set a party mood. But they also insist on playing the music stupidly loud even on a Monday night when there are two people in the bar drinking. Non a/c rooms get hot at night, but they've at least tried to resolve that by putting plenty of fans in the room.
