The dorm rooms were spacious and had small lockers, but no windows so were gloomy. Towels are provided and there are 2 bathrooms and a 3rd shower shared between all guests - before 7am I didn't have to queue but did later. So if you want to get up later be prepared to wait or go to a cafe to use their bathroom! The breakfast is simple and served from 8amThe kitchen is quite well stocked but small so workspace is limited. Better hostels nearby for the same $ and better facilities.

There were lots of building works going on when I stayed (like pretty much everywhere in Beijing at the moment)- they were completely redoing the bathrooms opposite my room. While this will probably be great for guests once the work is finished, it was rather dusty and nosiy for me. There's a large internet cafe in the same building, providing cheap and accessible internet. Hostel is directly opposite Beijing central station, so very convenient for thost arriving by Train from Mongolia.

Bit Center Hotel

The directions to the hostel were clear, but Bit Center is more like 2km from the edge of the city, than from the city centre itself. Which led to a rather longer walk than I had antcipated. The blurb doesn't really make it clear, but the hostel is part of a sport centre, so the facilities are excellent - including gym, aerobics studio, badminton courts etc
