Great staff at the desk most of the time, need more than two staff during busy checkout times particularly when there are big tours.

Good value, clean kitchen, a few long stayers and short stayers, the themed nights make it easier to mingle.

Breakfast and dinner was outstanding, added great value, AJ the host is very courteous. This is a clean hostel, Communicating in english was a bit difficult over the phone and emergency bed matresses were a little thin and in the middle of a walkway. I appreciate that this is a cheap place to stay in Paris, it is important to have cheap hostels like this is such an expensive city.

When I arrived Albert is in a rush and he didn't want to explain everything to me I could tell. I told him, I had been to Barcelona before but I still needed to know wifi info, where the closest metro was and so on. He behaved unprofessionally and I felt I was in his way. I am a guest and it is part of his job as a host to explain the basics.

I remember I arrived late in the morning 2:00 a.m. and condolences to customers and more rested when you already knew the city, we agreed that if I had questions would help you in the morning, however the information is explained inside and I facilitated the Wiffi. His reaction is incomprehensible and has scored with 1 cleaning a new design apartment. Also remember that the volume of luggage who brought offered to help me when he left. Thankfully, customers like you are a big minority

ok Thomas at the front desk is excellent, he is very helpful, but he is the only person at the hostel that speaks English, this has caused a few issues when I called for directions and when I wanted to ask a few questions at the front desk. The down stairs private room I was in was loud, I have never been in a hotel, hostel room that was this bad, I can sleep though many things but this was something else. The coffee machine next to my door and the common room next door as well.

Hostel Hemmingway is within the top three hostels I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world. The staff will bend over backwards for guests, I am really happy with this place. I am going back there in a few days to stay again. I really do highly recommend this hostel!!

The place was OK, but the smell from the toilets was horrible, some attention needs to be given to the bathrooms, the heat and the smell is a bad combination, but staff were very helpful and the hostel is a great location

Hiyas \Rebbeca, The smell was not the toilets, but the smell was coming up the drain pipes, as happens randomly in Bangkok. I could seal the drain but then it would cause other problems and as the smell coming up is a rare thing and when it does happen it only happens only at night, it seems best to wear it on the night instead of dealing with the future problems involved in blocking the drain. sorry about that, when it happens we are aware of it and usually put incense in the area and that solves it. Giving us a 1 for cleanliness was a bit harsh, and why the 2 for security? Thanks for your review rebecca, soi1david
