This is my favourite hostel in London at the moment. The room was nice- and the bar is very cool. The chill out room is quite small, so if you don't fancy spending time in the bar it's quite limiting- still, a great hostel in a great location.
This is a wonderful hostel, however, I think there should be complimentary tea in the kitchen, no? just an idea. It is Ireland, after all. Staff were very cool and helpful.
Great hostel, has everything you could want. I've stayed here a couple of times now.
Don't plan on going to sleep before 2am if on the first floor, the music from the pub downstairs is really loud. That said, everything else about this hostel was good, and would stay again. Camden is fantastic.
Fantastic. Incredibly clean, spacious and relaxing. Everything you could want in a hostel, great value too.
Location was fine, 5-10 min walk to Patrick St. Building kind of old, room ok, didn't smell great but was fine. Showers cold. Kitchen is great though. I much prefer Sheila's hostel in Cork for location cleanliness and craic.
nice common/dining area, showers not bad and nice kitchen.. we had a great st. patrick's day here...
I'm still here, a veray nice hostel, comedy club on tuesdays was pretty good, nice bar, cinema room a nice touch- internet costs too much(50p for 12 minutes). Fun hostel. Not much nearby but is 5mins from tube-london bridge
There was a problem with my room but they had a place reserved for me in another cheap hotel down the road by the time I arrived so was no problem. other hotel was ok cant complain. location is nice and safe but a good bit outside of central london.
very nice place enjoyed my stay. Not many people floating about this time of year, but good kitchen, tv screen projected on the wall is a nice touch. Internet was a bit expensive I think. Would defo recommend
A typical german jugendherberge (youth hostel). Not great for meeting people, but it has all the essential facilities and is clean etc.. you certainly could do much worse than staying here, but if you're looking for somewhere special this probably isnt it.
The linen is a bit old, so i had to head somewhere else cos im a tiny bit allergic to dust, but othewise a really nice place. Just a really cool guy who wanted to make a bit of money by having people stay with him, but he's got a passion or travelling, and clearly likes what he does. I would recommend. Oh ad he let me play his guitar, hadnt played guitar in weeks, so that was cool!!
Very nice place, nice relaxing common room and big kitchen. Good coffee too. Right by central station, but a 20min walk (or a bus ride) to the altstadt (old town). nice place to recharge the batteries
Its my second time staying here, and I dont want to leave. Best hostel Ive stayed in, like a hotel, only with hostel rates, and a cool place to meet people, food and staff awesome
think i was allergic to the bed linen (dust or something) which dampened my trip a bit, but good hostel overall. Lock the door of the shower cubicle, it pervides piece of mind when the timed lights go out
A big purpose built hostel, nothing special but you're guaranteed all the essential amenities. Beds are really good, and rooms very clean. lots of people, a bit loud at night. would defo stay again
One of the most enjoyable stays I've had. wanted to go back, but it's booked out tonight:( one drawback is the breakfast costs 4 euro, but it's decent, and it's served til 12.
Bit of a kip. Bad smell throughout. Place was cleaned every day, but still seems filthy. No common room or anywhere to hangout either, just a bed. Central location, but trust me its nicer to stay along the canals, and walk into the centre. The younger staff are kinda nice, but the older ones are less enthusiastic or helpful. I dont blame them, working in a place like that.'My least favourite place I've stayed in.
grand, pretty good actually. nothing bad to say about the place, staff were nice
On the first night we were put on the floor above were the main office is, which I really didn't like the look of, no real area to hang around in, dusty etc.but the rest of the time we were in the main part and had a great time!! staff were cool, and the kitchen encouraged people to chat and have fun, would definitely reccommend :)
A new modern hostel from the BASE chain -clean and great facilities but like the other base hostels, very big lacks character and a little expensive compared to the bbh hostels in new zealand
its about 10-15 min walk to queens st, a nice enough area with restaurants and cafe's, alright for chilling out in, facilities are good, all in all not too considering the price
alright, but not great atmosphere or rooms. the streett is very east berlinish so that was sort of cool but really you need to get the metro into the central berlin. its only 3 minutes down the road to the stop though , so handy enough. not very clean and showers not great.
the 8 bed room was small with no space to hang around or even for us all tto stand up at the same time. pints at reception are cheap, showers ok. the last night i was in a twin private room which was nice. locations ok- just a quick bus ride into the centre of the city. common room is big rather than cosy. would stay again but only because its the cheapest on the list.
The bar is packed on a Saturday night, amd fun to be in. the staff were great and this is a really fun hostel with a great location. however the rooms were simply rooms with beds, and weren't very clean, with containers of rodent poison scattered around the room and nowhere to put your things except on the foor, and my friend's wallet was stolen by someone else in our room (we think) although that isn't the hiostel's fault.
