Hostel Galeria 13

Salvador, Brazil

The only problem with this hostel was that I was only able to stop for 1 night. The owner has taken real care attention in creating a great place for backpackers to stay and enjoy Salvador. The information booklet is fantastic and gives you a real sense of the ambiance the owner and staff are looking to create. Breakfast from 8 to 12 is a real added extra and probably the best I've had in Brasil. Would highly recommend.

Decent location, bout 5 to 10 mins walk from the beach. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was spot on as well.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location, 5 mins walk from Lapa centre. Facilities were excellent and the old school lift to get up to reception capped it off for me.

Was there 3 nights and the sun was only out for one day which makes all the difference. Great location, staff and facilities though.

Curitiba Casa Hostel

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at and I have travelled all over Asia and Australia as well as Brasil. A family run business and the owners were very warm and welcoming. Clean rooms, showers, really comfortable beds with a choice of 3 blankets! Plus your own socket, shelf and a big locker under the bed. The breakfast was spot on and although I didn't use them they had other amenities like washer/dryer and bbq.
