Mare - Rooms for rent

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Only stayed for about 14hrs overnight as a pass through so didn't really use many facilities or spend much time here except for a few hours sleep. Staff were great, located close to the bus terminal, and simple to get to Old Town by local bus from in front of bus terminal.

The W14 Hotel & Bar

This hostel is great if you are looking for quite and cheap accomm in London with easy access to Heathrow and town via the Piccadilly Line. They have a reasonable free breakfast, I didn't use the kitchen during my stay. The rooms were clean and there were several families staying there which made for a quite hostel which is what I was after this time. I would stay there again.

Alibi B11

Piran, Slovenia

This is a basic hostel and provides what you need for a stay and staff were very friendly. If you're staying Piran I don't think accomm needs to be of a great standard, you'll be out at the beach most of the time I would think. Piran is a beautiful little town to visit though, highly recommended for quite short break.

Feel Trieste Apartment

Trieste, Italy
87%

Two bedroom apartment, each room can to be booked separately. When I stayed I had the place to myself, not sure if there's any actual hostels in Trieste. That said, apartment is fantastic, spacious, clean, a/c, TV, internet, full kitchen, fully furnished apartment. Great location on pedestrian street, el fresco cafes and bars and central to everything. €7 taxi or 10-15min walk from bus/train station. Owners SUPER helpful! Highly recommended. Only possible negative, can't lock bedroom door.

Patio Hostel

Bratislava, Slovakia
80%

Stayed in a private twin room which was clean, had plenty of space and only shared the bathroom with one other private room. Kitchens were fairly small for those that wish to cook, laundry was free (except for powder), internet was pretty poor, location was good, easy to find, near a Tesco, close to old town but not in the hussle and bussle. Overall was good, but might stay somewhere else if I go to Bratislava again.

Fantastic location! Right on the main square in the thick of it. Good hostel in all other respects; clean, free breakfast, good kitchen, enough bathrooms, location definately the clincher.

Good, clean hostel. The room I had was really spacious, comfy bed and great free breakfast; cereal, bread and toaster, condiments and juice. Staff were really helpful.

Heart Of Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Great location right in the Red Light District. Room was crammed and dark, cleaned daily but very rough job so dirty build up in a lot of places, the room had a bathroom attached which was ok. Breakfast was poorly attempted, communal area was ok for meeting people and staff seemed mildly interested in their guests. Overall not a great place but passable, seems a lot of coin for what you get but i think thats Amsterdam. Location is its only saving grace.

Casa de la Musica Hostel

Budapest, Hungary

Absolutely love this hostel. Have been to Budapest a few times and won't stay anywhere else after discovering this one! Every staff member was fantastic, Alex the owner is extremely helpful and hospitable, the place is cleaned daily, the building has great character, the outdoor terrace and bar was great for socialising (tho it close for the winter for obvious reasons) close and easy to get to by any means of transport. Down side would be size of kitchen and amount of bathrooms in peak times.

Transylvania Hostel

Hostel was quiet but i was there as weather was getting colder. Location was great, staff were nice enough and hostel had everything you would require. Didn't find the hostel on my first attempt but the young locals are pretty friendly, many of them speaking English, and were happy to show me to the hostel.

Really nice people working there, nice area and close walk to things. They were doing some bathroom renovations when i was there so that'll be new. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hostel again.

The Funky Chicken Hostel

Bucharest, Romania

Difficult give a full assesment as I was just stopping over (got in at 11pm and left at 5am). Was fairly easy to find but it seems pretty old and run down, but that might just be Bucharest, bed was rather lumpy. Note to all: DO NOT GET A TAXI FROM THE AIRPORT!! Even after agreeing on a hefty price before getting into the taxi, when I arrived at my destination I was locked in the taxi and threatened till I handed over more money before they(there was 2 of them) let me out.

Ambient Hostel

Keszthely, Hungary

Very friendly and hospitable staff. Probably the cleanest hostel i've ever seen, well equiped, nice surroundings and the reception/cafe is handy. It is located at the opposite end of town to the beach which isn't awesome but nothing is far in a small town. Definitely recommend getting a cycling map and hiring a bike to explore the country side and Hévíz. Would absolutely stay at this hostel again if I return.

Casa de la Musica Hostel

Awesome hostel with great character, outdoor patio with a bar, fantastic staff, great people staying there. Can't say too much bad about the place. Kitchen is a bit small tho and more bathroom amenities may be needed in peak times. Was very hard to leave such a beautiful city and great hostel. Will definitely be returning to Budapest and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.
