Sleepers Sleep Cheaper Hostel

Monteverde, Costa Rica
89%

I was surprised at how nice the rooms and bathrooms were given how cheap it is. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the tours through them were good prices, and breakfast was great (except one day we didn't get it because the girl was late and I had to leave by 7.25am). There wasn't much atmosphere when I was there, and the only other problem was that our toilet was broken, but other than that it was a great place to stay if you're on a budget!

Hostel Mora Mendoza

Fantastic hostel! I'm actually still staying here cause I love it. The atmosphere is great - free wine in the evenings, and there's always friendly people chilling out in the backyard, sometimes having an asado together. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The free Mate class was great too. The only problem is one of the 6 bed dorm rooms is tiny and really noisy from the street, so try not to be in that one, but one of the other 6 bed dorms is much bigger and very comfortable. Enjoy:)

Savigliano International Hostel

I only stayed here for one night. The location is good if you're in transit as its right near the bus terminal, but if you want to stay a few days and explore Mendoza city then its pretty far away from everything. The staff were really nice and accommodating for me. There was noone else really staying there when I was there so I can't comment on the atmosphere much, but there's a foosball table and a small swimming pool, so its probably nice!

Terra Extremus Hostel

Santiago, Chile

Amazing staff who become your friends instantly and make you feel completely at home! Fun and comfortable atmosphere, and free beer for half an hour each night! Great location, right near the metro and conveniently between barrios bellavista and bellas artes/lastarria. Easily walkable to other key parts of the city as well. It could do with more heating as its a bit chilly on cold days. Will definitely stay there again.

VooDoo Guesthouse and Bar

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Huge and really comfortable beds, in super clean and spacious rooms! Cool artsy decor, and an awesome rooftop bar with ridiculously cheap beers and great cocktails! Perfect location - super close to all the fun parts of town, like pub street and the restaurants and markets, but tucked away just enough that you can escape the chaos if it if you want. Friendly and helpful staff who can organise activities for you. I will definitely stay at Voodoo again.

Hostel Miturno

Very basic hostel, though I suspect most in Mostar would be. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom downstairs wasn't so nice, but upstairs there was a much nicer one. The internet and computers were good, and the location was great - very close to Old Town, and not far from a big supermarket. Can walk from the bus station pretty easily too.

This hostel was fine but nothing special. The decor esp in the living room made it feel like I was in my grandparent's house, but not in a bad way. The staff were nice enough although didn't add too much to the experience, though the parents did a very good tunnel tour - very local and shared their personal knowledge and experiences.

Close to the train station and boat terminal so its good if you just need somewhere to stay before/after your sail trip. But if you're staying in Split for a couple of days its better to stay in the Old Town and in a hostel that has a bit more to it as this doesn't have much.

This is a bit out of the way - have to get a tram into town. But if you want something in a nice suburban neighbourhood then its definitely good for that. There's a big supermarket/k-mart type store nearby where you can get everything you need which is handy. It is very very clean and has great facilities and a nice outdoor table area. I didnt hang out with the people there much as I was sick but the girl that was there when I arrived wasn't particularly friendly, one of the guys was great!

The people that worked there were really strange and fickle - sometimes very helpful but other times dont even want to look at you. Laundry goes "missing" left, right and centre, and there seems to be a trend for denim shorts and blue and white tops to go missing and coincidentally the cleaner wears denim shorts - yet the staff refuse to see the connection.. The hostel also attracts very strange guests. Anyway I think this hostel has closed down now but if not I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Fantastic hostel! The staff are so nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is great! The free breakfasts and dinners are great, as well as free shots every night! Its great to be able to chill out here and also be able to enjoy the parties with the sister party hostel. The location is slightly out of the centre town ring, but its all walkable and its very close to the station which is great. I definitely recommend Greg & Tom's and I would certainly stay there again!

This hostel looks really nice and grand and is clean, but we had quite a few things go wrong so I would not stay there again. I would probably look for something closer to the main square in Old Town next time. I got into a bit of a rant about the problems we had, but it wouldn't fit it on here so I put my review on Tripadvisor if you want to see it: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g274707-d1656616-r132796196-Mosaic_House-Prague_Bohemia.html#UR132796196

Fantastic hostel! Very clean and kind of felt like more of a hotel. The walking tour was good too. TGreat location right next to the Naschmarket and close to a convenient underground station. The hostel bar was fun to start the night - cheap jager bombs and you get to fire a super soaker at them! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was a really good size, and the beds have individiual lights and powerpoints(sockets) next to them which is good!

Great hostel! Like a resort! The rooftop bar is awesome! Would be cool if it stayed open later, instead of the bar downstairs. The staff were great and rooms were really nice. The pub crawl was a lot of fun and the day bike tour with Serena was definitely worth it!! I would definitely stay here again! Its just a shame there are so many bus tour people there as they tend to only socialise with themselves, but everyone else was great!

Seven Hostel

The hostel is amazing - like a resort! The rooftop bar is awesome! But the reception staff were not very friendly to us at all - it always seemed like we were annoying them being there and they weren't helpful at all eg with maps or things we could do in Sorrento. Also, when we checked in we had to wait over an hour before we could get in our room, even though it was 3pm already but they said it would be 10 mins so we waited instead of going out which we would have done if we had known how long

There are renovations going on at the moment which are really noisy in the morning. It also means that there is no common room at the moment (other than the kitchen which isn't very comfy or social). It would have been good to know about the renovations before booking. But the beds are comfy, showers are good, staff are friendly, and the Free walking tour was good - and it is actually free (not tips) because its run by the hostel staff.

Good hostel. the staff were really great and very helpful! the computer room was in an old court room which was pretty cool definitely a party hostel and not the place if you want some quiet time, as the bar seems to go off every night. it wasnt really dirty but it didnt come off as the cleanest place either. on my first day the shower water stunk really bad.. didnt feel like i was clean after the shower.. no free internet which is pretty annoying.. but overall a good place!

Thank you! The walking tours are fun and a great way to meet other travellers and soak in the atmosphere of such a beautiful town! Wishing you safe travels :-)

I've stayed here twice and the first time (Dec 2010) it was excellent, but the second time (Feb 2011) it was really really dirty - the bathrooms weren't cleaned the whole time I was there so there was water and hair from the shower everywhere all through the bathroom, and the basin in our room was blocked and never fixed/cleaned either. hopefully they've improved it since Feb back to the original standards. Location isn't great so if you only have a couple of days prob best to stay in the city.

the hostel rooms are in the basement of a hotel and its all a bit strange and dingy, sort of felt like prison cells. but it's a great location, and the breakfast was pretty decent

Some of the sheets and towels were dirty. Don't rely on the security there, keep important things with you. I didnt use the safe and maybe it's okay (unless its the same one the keys for check-in are kept in cause a few people staying there knew the combination) but some of my friends things were stolen from their rooms despite them being locked. Location was excellent though and facilities were good.
