It is a nice hostel and a good place to stay when visiting the eastern fjords. The little town of Breiddalsvik is very nice and quiet, a good place to relax and not too touristy (at leat at the time I visited, in October). The hostel is quite new, so the kitchen is not ready yet, but it seems it will be soon. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Right now, there is no sign on the road, so it was a bit difficult to find the place, but they promised there will be a sign soon :)

The hostel is generally good, clean and has good facilities. Unfortunately, the rooms are around the kitchen, so it can be a bit noisy and feel a bit cramped. The little village of Rif is very quiet and sleepy. If you want to eat in a restaurant or buy some food, you have to go to the nearest towns of Olafsvik or Hellisandur, but they are not too far away.

I think it's a good hostel inside the crazy labyrinth of Chunking Mansions. The room is tiny but has everything you need (air con, fan, TV, safe, small bathroom). Just cleanliness could be a bit better (especially the floor).

They transferred me to another hotel nearby. This hotel was ok, but without anyone speaking English, it was difficult to know what they intented. It would be useful if someone who speaks English would be there and explain what is going on.

That is what hostel world ist good for... You make a reservation, and in the end they don't have a room for you... Very disappointing. When I arrived in the morning, they told me the room woul be free around 12 am. When I came back later, they told me unfortunately, no room was free. My choice was to stay in a dorm room or to take the sofa in the community room. Additionally, they somehow lost my t-shirt which I had hung up to dry. The location is also not very nice, in the middle of some indus
