Somprasong Sukhothai Guesthouse, Sukhothai, Thailand

A very nice and relaxing stay. It was good to get away from the noise of Bangkok. The italian style restaurant served some of the best food I've ever tasted while travelling. It was also good to have a private room for person instead of sharing a dorm. My room was clean and had an ensuite bathroom. I only had a fan but for the price, that was ok. There were a few small problems...like the mattress on my bed was hard and uncomfortable and no change of bedsheets/towel was offered in the 5 nighfs.

Vientiane Backpackers Hostel, Vientiane, Laos

I like this hostel. Its cosy, clean and friendly. Its also situated nicely on the edge of Vientiane's backpacker/ tourist area. The staff are helpful and knowledgable and their spoken English good. There's 24hr wifi and free use of some computers. There's an extensive tourist service offering flights, bus and train rides national and international.

Link Corner Hostel, Bangkok, Thailand

A very clean and tidy hostel. My dorm room had a remote control for the air conditioning and all bunks had a personal reading light. Link Corner was also very convenient for travel to the airport and for local travel around the city with the Skytrain and Metro within 10min walk. My bunk was big and comfortable with a unisex bathroom just across the corridor. Not a place to stay a long time as the place has poor soundproofing and you could hear the traffic 24hrs..so bring earplugs

Funky Fes, Fez, Morocco

Friendly and helpful staff, wifi, self catering kitchen and decent breakfast with as much tea and coffee as you wish! No delays with hotwater in the showers and sinks. Comfortable beds for good nights sleep. Tours, outings all well advertised at reasonable prices. Did a guided tour of old medina first day...over 3 hrs for 55dhr. A most excellent hostel... My only criticism was no alcohol was sold or allowed!

Hi John, Our establishment is not allowed to sell or consume alcohol. This rule works for all the Medina. But there is no problem in having alcohol in the new area of the City (Ville Nouvelle). See you in Spain there you can drink alcohol in ours hostels (Granada and Cordoba). Thanks for the comment.

The Capital-Inn, Reykjavik, Iceland

Capital inn turned out to be better than i expected. Inside was very modern and seemed new or recently refurbished. A spacious kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and kept clean and tidy! Breakfast was €10 but turned out to be worth it as you could really eat and drink as much as you like: with cereals, toast, porridge, fruit, yogurt, eggs, ham and cheese etc...tea and coffee but no orange juice! The toilets had power showers available 24/7 and, like elsewhere, were kept very clean.

Nice place situated near the jemma square. Clean and well run by young people. A young person's hostel but there's a curfew on loud music etc..after 9pm. I was there for one night but would return

Riad Amlal, Marrakech, Morocco

great new years eve partying with the staff at riad amlal. The place is very clean and well organised place to stay. Its at the top end of the medina and was very hard to find sometimes as there's no signs on the main rue el gza. Riad amlal is a beautiful old moroccan townhouse but was quite cold at night because there's no heating.

My room was reasonably clean & tidy upon arrival. Unfortunately it backed onto a small farmyard and every morning about 4am, a cock started crowing, at 5am it was joined a cacophany of crows. Anjunapalms is very central and every facility you need is within 1-5 minute walk. the owners are very welcoming and helpful. I Recommend you bring insect netting/repellent as I was under attack within minutes.
