I loved this hostel and returned the following month. Staff are fantastic, really friendly and helpful. Really loved staying near the bars of Lapa. The hostel bar area is nice and the little dipping pool too. As are the other 2 new longue areas. I was there when they had a BBQ

Che Lagarto Hostel Salvador

This hostel doesn't reflect the quality received at other Che's. Our dorm didn't open from outside, so we had to keep keys in keyhole outside which is a fire hazard to say the least. The toilet didn't always flush. The place needs a re-paint. The air con was set so wasn't allowed on very often. I prefered staying in old town, but it is on the beach although Salvador doesn't have a great beach. Some of the staff were very nice.

Very friendly hostel. Gus the owner is so helpful. He literally spent hours helping me book a flight. He really cares about his clients end the hostels reputation. Rooms are rather basic and the lockers are not big enough to fit rucksacks. I liked the separate girls shower room for the big dorm. Also liked the beach location.

Hi, we ´ve had big lockers but people normally prefer to leave their big bags around the beds so now we offer lockers big enough to put big handbags in. Remember stay in a hostel is quite different to that experienced when staying in a hotel. Its less about privacy and exclusiveness.. its more about cultural exchange, sharing our experiences and getting to know people from every corner of the world.More fun and more interaction at a lower cost. You´ve paid 54 R$ for 2 nights stay. Thanks Gus x

Lovely hostel. Friendly staff. Nice clean open air kitchen to cook in. So clean, communal bathrooms were always always clean. The clean towel was appreciated, although I think the clean sheets everyday was a bit unnecessary. Really liked the small touches like the full length mirror and hairdryer. It's not on the beach, but its only 2 mins away and its nicer than those hostels that are. Would 100% recommend

Rising Dragon Hostel

An excellent central Hanoi hotel. From the start management were highly organised, and stayed in regular e-mail contact, whilst I made adjustment to rooms bookings and made provisions for train tickets to be deleievred. Staff were just so helpful throughout our stay. Liked the free tea and coffee service after a hard days shop. Also gave excellent commission rate on currency exchange.
