100% clean, great value, great staff, great location, good Wi-Fi, perfect for basic accommodations. I took a private room with shared bath. The shared baths were perfectly clean and I never had to wait for one. Note however that this is mostly a place to sleep at night and there's not a lot of atmosphere. There was a shared kitchen with basic equipment and free coffee and instant oatmeal for breakfast. Just a block from the Metro Red line.

We had an ensuite room and it was just great! Nice room, nice balcony overlooking the street. Simple breakfast was good, nice staff. There was a lot of noise on the street coming from street musicians, however, so I often needed earplugs to sleep.

Great staff! Perfect location near Hongik Station for metro transport and direct train to ICN airport. Great price! Near the bustling and fun university but is a very quiet guest house. Breakfast is rather limited and options for self cooking are also limited. Mattress was a bit lumpy. But overall a good stay and I would stay here again!

A wonderful hostel in the Old Town. Quiet, clean, everything works, etc. Staff arranged a good tour for us to Halong Bay at a good price. Then when the weather forecast changed and we asked to change the date, they were happy to change it for us. (Thanks, Lily!) Will arrange taxis and pick up from airport, train station, etc.

The perfect place to stay in beautiful Hoi An! Off the main street on a quiet road, it's just a short walk to the main attractions. The facilities are great, everything is clean and attractive. The owner will gladly help you to find your way around or to book tours, travel, etc. Free bike rental, free breakfast. Can't go wrong here!

A nice facility close to the center of everything. Friendly but not a party hostel which is just what I wanted! Available restaurant is good and reasonably priced if you don't want to go out for a meal. Hard to beat this place!
Thanks for the glowing review. Glad you enjoyed our location and the envoy vibe :) Hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back here again soon!

A boutique hotel in a perfect location! Close to the center of it all but off on a quiet little street. Staff are superb and will help with arranging bus tickets, other travels etc. Not a party place... thank heavens... but friendly, fun and everything you need for a perfect stay in Siem Reap!

Couldn't be better! Spotlessly clean and very atmospheric. close to the center of town but set off on a quiet side street. Breakfast included. Plenty of hot water and Wi-Fi works great. And most of all very friendly and helpful hosts! By the way Sukhothai is a great city and would be the perfect place to begin your explorations of beautiful Thailand.

A simple but wonderful place to stay in the heart of Bangkok! Best of all is Joy, the proprietor. She is an encyclopedia of knowledge about travel within Bangkok and throughout Thailand. She is also someone who is fun to talk with about culture or any other things Thai or otherwise. She is also easy going, quick to smile and to laugh. Everything in the hostel is clean and orderly and works properly including the Wi-Fi. Hard to go wrong here!!!

Great hotel at a very reasonable price! Friendly, spotlessly clean, nice breakfast buffet. Just blocks from the U-bahn. Close to restaurants and markets. Save a bundle by staying a bit away from the Old Town!

Great value, pretty good location. Very clean and friendly. Very comfortable bed. Shower needed some work - broken shower head and hot water ran out in morning, so I showered in evenings. Overall I'd stay there again despite minor problems.

Casa Consell GH - Perfect location, great staff, great place to stay! Just a couple of blocks from Placa Catalunya and a block from the metro. Decent complimentary breakfast in a nice kitchen that can be used for self cooking if desired. Shared bathrooms are spotless and abundant. Friendly staff. Great value partly because it was one of a few that offers single rooms. Can't go wrong here!

Great guest house/hostel near the heart of the medina. A beautiful old riad with a very atmospheric central courtyard. Private rooms are rather small but perfectly adequate. Great value for money!

Douarskoll Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay if you want an atmospheric and authentic Riad in Marrakech! Owner/proprietor Mohammed, arranged pickup at the airport for me for the modest fee of €15, the going rate, while saving me the hassle of finding an honest taxi driver. He was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Free breakfast daily and wonderfully quiet. Thanks for a great visit!

THE BEST VALUE HOSTEL IN NEW YORK CITY!!! I was able to stay here in a private room for only $35 per night!!! Note, I did share a bathroom and I took the single bed room in a finished attic. This does require some bending over for a few feet to get to the room (where the ceilings are of normal height) - but for this small inconvenience I had a great room for a phenomenal price! The hostel was spotlessly clean and very secure with kitchen privileges too. Only 2 blocks from the Metro!

A great place to stay for a great price on Easter Island! Staff are friendly and helpful. I was able to rent a good 4WD vehicle for half what it would have otherwise cost, also bike rental. Quiet because it's a bit away from the town, but just a ten minute walk. Perfect! My only complaint: almost no equipment for cooking in kitchen. Otherwise perfect.

Staff were just super (of course there's a lot of turnover here - but I hope it would reflect the managers' choice of staff - We had a lot of fun here and I felt very much welcome with the group although I'm the better part of 40 years older than the staff. Super friendly, helpful, fun to talk to people. Also they do a great job with the barbeque!!

Great hostel, very attractive, nice décor, good ambience. Note that even in a separate building, however, I could hear the beat of the music from the common area... not to my liking but not too bad.

Great place to stay, near the airport. The manager is extremely helpful and friendly and will drop you off/pick you up at the airport as needed. A bit out from the downtown area, but there's not that much to do in downtown Joburg anyway.

A great manager, Rob, makes this place great! Very helpful, friendly, lots of knowledge. Location near airport is perfect for making this your jumping off place for other parts of Africa, including BazBus drop off/pick up at door. Very quiet despite proximity to airport, also near a nice restaurant, Protea Hotel. Wi-fi only in mornings and evenings. Decor isn't much to speak of, if that's important to you.

Jolly Boys is an outstanding hostel, more like a little boutique hotel than a hostel! Everything is kept in tip-top shape and it's very attractive - great ambience. Staff are very friendly and helpful. One pointed out to me that I would be flying out the next day from the OTHER airport across the border in Victoria Falls, NOT the airport in Livingstone. (I hadn't thought about there being 2 different airports so close together and might have missed my flight!) THANKS!!!

The PERFECT hostel for Waikiki! Great, friendly vibe AND was QUIET AT NIGHT so I could sleep. The best of both worlds! Great price!!! Just a block from the great shopping & dining district of Waikiki & the beach. Right off of Kuhio where TheBus will get you anywhere: the Bishop museum, airport, Diamond Head, USS Arizona, downtown, etc. Good kitchen well stocked with staples & equipment. Only complaint: balky Wi-Fi.

Outstanding value! Conveniently located 100 feet from the Garibaldi metro. Many restaurants, shops, groceries &. nearby. Not in a tourist area but access takes only minutes by metro. Spotlessly clean & newly refurbished. Staff are very friendly. They also run the restaurant downstairs with good food for a good price. Note that “en suite” means private sink & shower but SHARED toilet down the hall. Toilet was very clean and I never had to wait to use it. I’d stay here again!

The perfect hostel for Florence! Half a block from the Duomo, very close to the other sites (Uffizi, etc.) also to train & bus stations. Staff are exceptionally friendly & helpful! Spotlessly clean, quiet, nice breakfast & snack in the evening. good place to meet people. Also however, sleeping areas are quiet. Doesn't get much better!

A great B&B in the heart of beautiful Siena! Our host was very helpful & friendly & made us all feel most welcome. Nice facilities - spotless, everything works, with a kitchen available for those who wish to cook. When you get here make it a point to look up at the "new" frescoes on the ceiling. They were "recently" painted when the 600 year old building was remodeled - a mere 150 years ago!

Staff are very friendly & helpful. Nice, clean rooms and bath. Good location. Great Wi-Fi throughout facility. Kitchen avaialable for use, lounge area is nice. Beer, drinks, coffee and laundry facilities available. Note that walls are a bit thin so light sleepers might want foam earplugs.

Great place to stay in Bologna. I chose a private bath and all was clean, pleasant and in good order. Shared kitchen was handy. Good location between central tourist area & train station. Note NO Wi-Fi and NO internet! You can sign up at McDonald's and use there's or go to the Burger King and use theirs without signing up, though Burger King's is slower. Note also that sign outside is hard to spot. Look for the number of the address.

One of THE best stays I've had ANYWHERE... and in Venice too! Perfect location: Close to the train & bus station & right off the main tourist path, but blissfully quiet. Host, Alessandro, keeps his B&B immaculately clean, cheerful & bright. He fixes great breakfast every morning & is a real joy to meet. You'll soon feel like you're visiting your best friend - who just happens to live in Venice. Wi-Fi throughout. Stop searching & stay here. It's perfect!

A hotel, not a hostel (despite the name). Very basic and a bit run down (showerheads broken, etc.) but clean and comfortable. Good wi-fi in rooms. Well priced & a perfect location right next to the Opera house, museum, etc. To find it just go to the Tirana International Hotel. Star Hotel/Hostel is adjacent and well marked with signs on the building.

Nasho Vruho is a wonderful 300 year old stone house in the Mangalem district. This is the beautiful collection of whitewashed houses that creeps up the side of the hill in so many photos of Berat, a UNESCO site. Rooms have all the modern facilities but are decorated in an atmospheric rustic manner. The owners are very friendly and generous; the man speaks Italian, German, French, and some English. Free breakfast includes home made bread, home made cheeses, home made fig jam, eggs and coffee. In the eve

A hotel; not a hostel. No meeting places, etc., just a room. A bit run down and dreary but reasonably clean. Staff were friendly and helpful though English language proficiency was limited. Great location right next to the Tirana International.
