Good place with good staff, rooms a little cramped but you cant have everything. I liked the way Brazillian guests seemed very keen on getting to know international guests this was very warming.

For the price, you can't really fault this place though some may try.....Top location, always clean and cheap, especially the dorm rooms. Th sonly thing I could say is if you are a party hostel person, this probably isn't your place, it attracts older people and couples, go elsewhere i think its on 9th street if you want the party hostel.

Posada San Francisco

Okay, this is a great hostel but I don't think its worth 94.....Cannot beat location the Mum and Daughter were great if not always around and the only other issue was no internet though there is a net cafe very very close by. If you are a budget traveller in San Juan DO NOT CONSIDER STAYING ELSEWHERE. This is the best you will find end of story, great view of the square and water as well. Again top location.

Owner Comment (Hide)
I dont understand why you say; worth 94; if you payed $22 per night; You stayed in the dormitory section and the energy really just changes depending on the guest. But thank you for this comment "If you are a budget traveller in San Juan DO NOT CONSIDER STAYING ELSEWHERE" I guess all in all you had a good time.

Good hostel just a bit out of the way and you have to catch 2 buses from the Grey hound. The number 10 then the number 7. It has changed since they last updated the script.

This place is quite a find actually. Very well priced for what you get. Yes a tiny bit out of the way but very well served by the red line and the buses. Clean as well. plenty of things to do. i would say stay here for sure, though noise doesnt get down until midnight so bring earplugs if you want to sleep before then.

The Beach

Okay this is a great place for people looking for certain things.....Top position for the beach and chilling out with a beer on the balcony...a million dollar view....Great staff ...Maria in particular. You are in the boutique area of Melbourne but a bit low on the backpacker vibe....Though if you dont want that its great, fun trendy pub below as well.

Oasis Hotel Luxor

Was a nice place in many ways, good spacious room had air con that worked well and hot showers. The manager Hassim was a very helpful person who met me at the train station which was handy. The only really thing this place lacked was customers which made it a bit quiet...On the flip side though this made for a great nights sleep. Reccomended for someone who wants a good guide in Luxor as Hassim was certainly that, he really puts himself out there for the guest.

The Australian Hostel

From what I hear from other travellers this is the place to stay in Cairo. Most staff speak English well and are only too prepared to help. Place is well located. The tours they organise seem to be popular as well, free airport pickup is a real bonus as well. You will feel a lot comfortable with your stay with George and crew, thanks!

Not as bad as other reviews will have you believe. It is only a subway ride from the main tourist spot ,Duomo and close to most conveniences. A clean place with happy staff too. Sure not in the thick of the action but close to the football ground....this is ok for the money

Yes a pretty good hostel this one..... Has the unusual distinction of being both a party place and one where you can chill out if you like....very rare. Very peaceful type of setup, feels more like your own home actually and yes Olga is ery helpful!

Was ok if you want respite from the hussle and bussle of thira. Peter was great and close to the beach with the option of going to Thira on the bus. The extra 2 euro was worth it big time do it.....for the smaller room.

On the larger scale well located in the heart of the action but next to the road so you can hear all the road noise..... Very Clean though, with a good kitchen special mention to Kacha from the staff, Thanks! Dean.

THis place runs on the back of two people Casper and SAm. Up there with Batman and Robin, Laurel and Hardy, could re name them the 2 stooges......the female staff are pretty indifferent and are in stark contratst to the dynamic duo....A lot of fun to be had at this place but if you are looking for a solid nights sleep look elsewhere as its close to the road and noisy all night. Lots of guys though so not such a pick up joint.....One of the best party hostels no question, if this is your focus this place is a must do! Once more Sam and Casper show genuine enthusiasm you won't easily experience elsewhere!

Hostel Mekka

A lot more like an Old eastern block hotel than a hostel. Super loacation with rooms which had character, very quiet with a few families staying. Not a party place at all though located in a party area. If you would like to get some sleep this place is great if you want to party it isnt, very old building too.

Hostel Mekka

Really more like an old skool european hotel than a hostel. Good if you want a quiet place centrally located, not so good if you want a party place to meet other travellers. Very quiet though.

good hostel great location very clean...would have given the staff a higher mark but for the racist remark one staff member gave me over my name "sounding very Australian"...as I'm from a greek background, pity someone with a Pauline Hanson mindset had to put a sour taste in my mouth in Denmark.

A place with great cahrachter, more like a hotel with marble everywhere. Air conditioners came in verey handy, the kitchen though small was good and it really wasnt too far from the action, very quiet location, free net was handy too. Bathrooms were certainly a cut above thats for sure, pity towells werent free. Would recommend for sure.

Carlos House

Lagos, Portugal

Very much a party place where all guests take it upon themselves to be friendly to all other guests. However if you just want to chill out you can do that too. Very secure as well with individual safes in the room. Free net!!!! Which Im using now, what a bonus! Hosts Carlos and Artheur who works like a trojan are great, the only place to stay in Lagos doe anyone with some personality!

THE CLEANEST HOSTEL YOU WILL EVER STAY AT, PERIOD. The owners are very enthusiastic and very happy to help out travellers with any information and useful hints. Not a party place but very good to chill out at, very relaxed. Bathrooms were tiny but most never really seemed to mind given the other positive points. Very well equiped kitchen with a pretty good view. Would reccommend to anyone wanting a friendly quiter type of stay.

YHA London St Pauls

Ok, the place was in a good location and easy to find, plent of character and charm but the beds were in these 'boxes' and difficult if you are tall....and were next to a road as well but very secure and clean and the breakfast included was a real bonus for london.....not just a dodgy toast and tea but pretty much a full breakfast, well done
