My location score is a little harsh as M'Ajoha is a victim of Havana's layout - it is a fair walk from everywhere, but it is pretty much in the middle of everywhere. The hosts were simply fantastic and gave good advice on things to see and do, they also offered to pick us up and ordered a taxi when we left. Beds were firm but comfortable and room suitably cool The hot shower tap wasn't working BUT it was a sweltering day outside so a cold shower was actually ideal in the circumstances.

My second trip to Portugal (my first was Lisbon), and the second amazing Portuguese hostel. Very friendly staff and a comfortable bed, but the best thing was the location, right between the bus station and city centre. Highly recommend

Interestingly set inside the Olympic Stadium, it's a fair hike (half an hour?) from the train station and city centre, but a pleasant stroll along one straight road. LOADS of helpful info about Helsinki in the foyer, this is very much designed by travellers, for travellers. The rooms, despite lots of beds, are spacious, and there are kitchen and common-room facilities. Although the adjacent Olympic tower was closed when I was there, you get a 40% discount if booked through the hostel.

Quite far out but less than 30 seconds walk from the streetcar, the longest wait I had for one towards Bourbon Street was about 2 minutes! Fantastic vibe at India House, plenty of common space for socialising, and plenty of storage for food. Rooms have lockers (though you need your own padlock) and don't feel cramped. Staff very friendly, offering cheap breakfast every morning and numerous tours are advertised at the front desk. Would highly recommend for a few nights on a budget in NOLA

Extremely helpful staff who waited for me past the reception open time as my flight from New York was delayed by 2 hours. Interesting set-up but very homely, was in a 12-man dorm but this was sub-divided into 3 rooms of 4, which was nice. Half hour walk from Bourbon St but down a very well lit road, I never once felt unsafe and didn't use a single Streetcar whilst I stayed at the Marquette. Pleasant double courtyard area as well with vending machines.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in, catering for travellers on a budget. 100 yards from the busiest square in Africa yet you wouldn't know it from the peaceful comfort of your room. Would happily recommend, was very impressed

Really enjoyed the two nights I've had here. 2 metro stops or a 15 minute walk from the Old Town, and some of the most helpful hostel staff I've ever encountered on my travels. I certainly know where I'm going to stay if ever I return to Bucharest!
