City Hostel Seattle, Seattle, USA
8.6
6th Jul 2016

We stayed for 3 nights and were pleased with City hostel. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet in the night. Lockers in the room were big. There were plenty of bathrooms in each floor and they were clean. The basement was cool for relaxing / watching movies and the breakfast was good (cereals, toast and jam / butter + fruits). Only thing that I could ask for is to put a small table and some chairs in the rooms.

The hostel was cleaned daily, the kitchen was well equipped and it was good value for money. It was a short walk to the skytrain and a short ride to downtown but still at times it felt like it was far from everything.

The AC in the room was amazing (works from 9pm till 9am) and some of the staff very nice. The breakfast (selfmade pancakes) and the pool were a nice bonus. The kitchen facilities were poor and there were no bins, shelves nor chairs/tables/hangers in the rooms. Overall overpriced but an okay hostel.

Nice and clean hostel with a wonderful breakfast buffet. Friendly and happy staff. A bit far from the center (walkable) but on a nice neighborhood. Could use a couple more bathrooms. Overall a nice experience.

The staff was nice and the location was good because it was very close to the pier. We thought that the room was overpriced and ended up staying only one night instead of the intended two. The hangout area was okay and the balcony outside our room towards the street was a nice bonus in the evening.

We had a good stay at El Momento. There was staff present all the time and a guard, wifi worked really well, the beds were wide and there were plenty of fans in the dorm. The garden area was cool to hang out and it was a short walk to everywhere but at night time it was nice and quiet. Would recommend.

We paid 28USD/night and it was way too much for our private room (called Africa). The roof was leaking when it rained, there were only mosquito nets on the windows (no glass) so we could hear everything from the common area / bars near by. When windy, parts of leafs, sticks etc. fell from the roof. The room was very dim and it felt dirty. The shower was one of the worst ever. Some of the staff was nice and the fruits were a nice addition to the breakfast. Stay in a dorm, don't expect too much.

The place was over all all right, but lacked in cleanliness of rooms and fluent english of some of the staff. Maybe because of that they had some errors in our orders etc. Our room had ants in it, but was otherwise nice. The food was a bit pricy, but good.Wifi worked well and the a/c in the room was pleasant.

The hostel directions' map is of completely wrong area and that means us walking with our backpacks for one and a half hours on a wild goose chase. It is NOT in the People's Park. The staff (Louis) was very helpful and kind when around but there was no-one there when we needed to check out. Otherwise the hostel was good, clean with a cool roof terrace. Beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The hostel is located on the 6th floor with no elevator but the apartment itself is worth visiting.

We felt deeply sorry that map from hostelworld bring you a wonge direction. but the map shown in hostelworld is automatically done by them, we have sent you an email for detail direction after you make the booking. We have asked hostelworld to change the map already and it is alright now. By the way, we will take your advice and make a bigger improvement. Thanks for your opinion;)

We liked that the hostel had a kitchen and a fridge for self-catering. The hostel was spacious and home-like and the mattresses and pillows were very soft! The hostel restaurant was pricey but the food was good. Wi-fi was non-existent but they had two computers at the reception with better connection. Note to travelers in Hangzhou: You can rent a bike but can't ride it close to the West Lake.

This isn't really a hostel, it's a hotel which means that there's no common area besides the lobby bar. We stayed in a private room with shower and a toilet but no window. The cleaning lady came every day. Genting Star is quite far from everything but the metro runs about a kilometer from the hostel and it's good value for the money. Internet worked well. The only bad thing was that we could hear everything from the corridor.

Our room (double bed private) was like a hotel room, very nice and cheap, comfortable and quite clean. Helpful staff and nice lobby bar/restaurant to hang out. The hostel was good and our stay was pleasant but there are a few things that I'd like to pass on to future travellers. The dorm showers and toilet are outside so it might be cold during the winter and there is no kitchen for guests to use but then again there's no need since the food is so cheap in restaurants (except for the hostel restaurant). Their dumpling party was cool, many thanks.

We stayed in the 10-bed dorm and the bunkbeds were comfortable and offered good privacy. There is a sign to 8th Floor Hostel from the Dzerzhinsky Street: turn left and walk the small road in the yard. Turn right and to the last door of the building. (no signs)

The hostel itself was good with a cool ambience and it was nice to just hang out in the hostel. The kitchen was big and sufficient as well as our dorm (10 bed). We even met the hostel owner (?) Aa a downside there were a lot of mosquitoes and the living room was fairly dim in the evenings. Overall our stay at Hello Hostel was pleasant and we would recommend it.
