We stayed here because it was cheap and close to the train station. Our room was okay clean but without any furniture besides the bed made it a bit uncomfortable. Internet worked which was nice but the hallways and toilets could've been nicer.
This was a really nice place. The staff was kind and helpful, the hostel was peaceful and clean and our room was small but comfortable. Dvd collection was good but the food a bit pricy though delicious. Highly recommended!
Our dorm room wasn't cleaned once during our stay and there was always sand on the bathroom floor. This hostel is clearly for party people. If instead you're interested in sleeping don't stay here. Funny and friendly staff.
The place was over all all right, but lacked in cleanliness of rooms and fluent english of some of the staff. Maybe because of that they had some errors in our orders etc. Our room had ants in it, but was otherwise nice. The food was a bit pricy, but good.Wifi worked well and the a/c in the room was pleasant.
The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. We booked two tours through them and were satisfied with both. You could choose between two options on breakfast and it was always good. The internet worked but the dorm room was on the 5th floor. A/C in the room was heavenly.
We booked a double bed private but got a twin private, which didn't matter because there were no other guests and it was more spacious than a double bed private. The room had a shared balcony. The staff booked us bus tickets and helped us. A nice place all in all.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the beach but in a quiet alley, all the noise in the corridor could be heard from our room though. We had a pleasant stay for three nights and would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling on a budget.
Our room was a bit dim and dingy and it didn't have a window and there were cigarette burns in our sheets. Free breakfast was okay and the lady at the reception was helpful and spoke good English which some of the staff didn't. Wifi worked okay, untill it didn't and we used a free wi-fi of another hotel. All in all it was good value for money though.
The hostel directions' map is of completely wrong area and that means us walking with our backpacks for one and a half hours on a wild goose chase. It is NOT in the People's Park. The staff (Louis) was very helpful and kind when around but there was no-one there when we needed to check out. Otherwise the hostel was good, clean with a cool roof terrace. Beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The hostel is located on the 6th floor with no elevator but the apartment itself is worth visiting.
The double bed private we had, was clean, spacious and with a nice view. The staff was helpful and polite. Free laundry option was very handy! No complaints really. We recommend it.
We liked that the hostel had a kitchen and a fridge for self-catering. The hostel was spacious and home-like and the mattresses and pillows were very soft! The hostel restaurant was pricey but the food was good. Wi-fi was non-existent but they had two computers at the reception with better connection. Note to travelers in Hangzhou: You can rent a bike but can't ride it close to the West Lake.
This isn't really a hostel, it's a hotel which means that there's no common area besides the lobby bar. We stayed in a private room with shower and a toilet but no window. The cleaning lady came every day. Genting Star is quite far from everything but the metro runs about a kilometer from the hostel and it's good value for the money. Internet worked well. The only bad thing was that we could hear everything from the corridor.
The staff was nice and helpful and the hostel is located on a cool street with lots of small cafes and bars. Showers we're a bit dodgy but they worked well. The art that we were interested in in this hostel didn't really show to us in our first floor 4 bed dorm. All in all a good place to stay.
Our room (double bed private) was like a hotel room, very nice and cheap, comfortable and quite clean. Helpful staff and nice lobby bar/restaurant to hang out. The hostel was right next to the metro and it took about 10 minutes to walk to the bell/drum tower and muslim quarters. They even offer cheap and convenient bike rental. We recommend this hostel.
The courtyard was spacious and cozy and our dorm room was fine except there were only a few electrical sockets for 12 guests. And then there was a weird noise all the time, like water dripping. The staff helped us with what we needed. We enjoyed our stay.
The hostel was good and our stay was pleasant but there are a few things that I'd like to pass on to future travellers. The dorm showers and toilet are outside so it might be cold during the winter and there is no kitchen for guests to use but then again there's no need since the food is so cheap in restaurants (except for the hostel restaurant). Their dumpling party was cool, many thanks.
The kitchen facilities weren't too good, but the staff (Sasha) helped us with our questions and booked us a really nice homestay at Olkhon island (Nina's - go there!). There is no door in the dorm room downstairs which can be a problem when trying to sleep.
The B&B was clean and nice, only lacking slightly in cooking gear. Jenny was an excellent host, picking us from the train station and taking us around, very helpful with all the directions and information. Thanks to Jenny our stay was brilliant.
The facilities in 8th Floor were good - the only thing missing in our perspective was a vegetable peeler. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hostel itself within a walking distance from the train station. We stayed in the 10-bed dorm and the bunkbeds were comfortable and offered good privacy. There is a sign to 8th Floor Hostel from the Dzerzhinsky Street: turn left and walk the small road in the yard. Turn right and to the last door of the building. (no signs)
The hostel had a cozy atmosphere, like staying at home and kitchen was fit for cooking. Staff was very helpful and friendly and did very well with the English they knew. Nice location, only 5 minute walk from the metro station. Definitely recommended!
The hostel was spacious, clean and comfortable. Extra credit goes to the helpful guy at the reception who helped us with every question we could possibly have. Facilities were good but lacked of cooking equipment and they only had two tables in the kitchen.
The hostel was very far from the centrum and it also was quite a walk to the metro station. The rooms were barely soundproof so we could hear everything from next door. On the other hand the hostel was nice, well decorated and cheap. It would also make it easier for tourists if the staff spoke more/any English.
Galina's was a true stay at home - experience; comfortable, cosy, enjoyable and easy. Galina herself was very helpfull and everything worked well. If you are looking for a genuine russian home, this is your place! We defintely recommend it.
The hostel itself was good with a cool ambience and it was nice to just hang out in the hostel. The kitchen was big and sufficient as well as our dorm (10 bed). We even met the hostel owner (?) Anton and he was crazy good guy! Particularly the guy at the reception was very helpful and kind, thank you! Aa a downside there were a lot of mosquitoes and the living room was fairly dim in the evenings. Overall our stay at Hello Hostel was pleasant and we would recommend it.
I have some experience about hostels and yours is definitely in top five! The staff was helpful and nice, hostel was great but that kitchen was a bit too small for all those people to have breakfast at the same time. But what can you do if everyone decides to have FREE breakfast at the same time... Very lovely hostel!!!
a bit better equipped kitchen and a fridge and your hostel would have been like a five star hotel!
Staff was very nice and helpful. The fact that the hostel had four showers and toilets was very good, there was always room to go. A bigger fridge would be nice.
