The hostel is well located for St Julians and Sliema. There is also a bus stop nearby from which you can get direct buses to Valetta and to the ferry for Gozo. The staff I met were very helpful and the hostel was clean and pleasant although it seemed like there might be quite a few longer term residents which makes it slightly more difficult if you are looking to meet people. Beware that the hostel doesn't have a sign outside so you have to look hard for it.

The free breakfast was a bonus. In the rain it is a bit of a drag having to walk back to the hostel from the downtown area as it is not very central. All things considered, not bad for a two night stay.
The hostel is in the Upper West Side, so a fair distance from downtown and midtown areas. However, there is a subway station one block away and as long as you get a metro card, it's really easy and affordable to get to all the sights. The hostel is huge, so you have plenty of chances to meet people. Jerry's Grand Tour is a must!
Great hostel in a good location for seeing the town. Also has one of the more affordable bars in town!
Great stay, good activities laid on and a well equipped and modern Hostel.
Great Wednesday night BBQ and pool competition. Friendly hostel with good facilities and a short walk to the centre of the city. Would stay here again
A great hostel, well located and in a character-filled old building, would definitely return. My only suggestion would be to get some free wifi on the go and also beware that there isn't always a lot of room in the dorms when they are full.
Didn't have a great time here, it seems to be more geared up for people who are working or looking for a cheap hotel in a good location. The front desk was closed more times than it was open when I was there and when I checked out they didn't volunteer to refund my key deposit, I got it when I went back in the afternoon to collect my bag after I remembered about it during the day. Also, beware that there is a club nearby which is loud until about 2am most nights if you're looking to sleep!
A warm welcome awaits you at this hostel. It is comfortable and clean and friendly and in a great location. The town itself is limited in what there is to do, but you can easily get out and about from the town and explore the western part of Crete. The only downside is that the shower situation is a little unusual but once you get used to it, it's fine.
Good location, right in the Plaka district and easy to reach the main sights like the Acropolis. Staff were friendly but as it was off season, the bar was closed as was the travel centre. The room was comfortable and it was clean as were the showers.
Great location in the RLD, but felt perfectly safe and comfortable in the hostel. I appreciate that the staff are all volunteers and most were really pleasant and helpful, one or two sometimes seemed like they didn't want to be there, but I guess that could happen anywhere. t would be great if you could organise some tours/activities for travellers, in addition to the Christian activities. Good free breakfast, although carefully rationed.
Great hostel, really friendly and super helpful staff. The 2Euro breakfast is exactly that, but no complaints. Had a good time here and would definitely recommend.
This was OK for a couple of nights, not very sociable and sometimes felt like a bar that happened to have a hostel attached. Good location and perfectly safe, rooms and bathrooms all kept clean and not bad value considering this is Scandinavia.
Great walking tour from Harriet and the pub crawls were also good fun. Great staff too. The only downside is that the walls are a bit thin and you will hear everything!
Great stay at Alessandro. Love the free pizza!
Probably the best hostel I've stayed in. Very friendly and welcoming and always clean and tidy. Thanks Julia and all the team!
Good hostel with helpful staff.
Great Hostel, Thanks Abba!!
