really cool hostel, the friendliest staff, close to everything you need to get to and a free bowl of yummy soup every night. pretty good deal!! :)
2 words......BED BUGS!!!! bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs! DO NOT STAY HERE. we checked into a room that had just been fumigated for bed bugs but clearly they didnt do a good enough job because as soon as i hopped into bed i got bitten. i was given another bed by the guy on night duty, but when i went down in the morning to complain about it and ask for a refund the staff couldnt seem to care less. i asked to see the manager but he was extremely arrogant and rude and not willing to give me a refund
the hostel was lovely, it was in a great location, the bathrooms were nice and clean. would happily stay here again.
great place, great rooms, its right next to the beach and close to everything in town. the menu in the bar isnt very extensive but the food is nice. lots of great places outside to eat anyway. bar lacks a bit of atmosphere but overall enjoyed my stay.
the hostel was in a nice location, right across from a park which had great cheap food stalls! the hostel owner is a nice guy and the staff are friendly but as many other reviews have said there never seems to be anyone around when you need to ask about something or buy something from them. also in the big dorm room downstairs a few of us all had bed bugs :( not very nice. the owner didnt seem that worried about it either, he just kind of laughed it off saying that it happens in hostels.
good location, lots of trips available to organise through the hostel, has the cutest 2 dogs, friendly atmosphere, but felt the trip to the hot springs was very over priced.
really cool hostel, loved the character of the old building. really clean. all the beds have curtains around them which gives you some more privacy. showers were great. breakfast was good, it actually includes croissants as well as the usual cereal and toast! free wi-fi. you can rent dvds at reception. very close to supermarkets and places to eat and very close to a tube station. all in all a great stay and would stay here again.
really liked this hostel. the staff were friendly. thought the location was great. walking distance to the city and very close to bus stops/underground stations. breakfast was pretty standard but not bad! they dont have a kitchen which is a slight problem for people on a budget as it can be expensive to eat out in london! but apart from that enjoyed my time here.
very friendly staff and really helpful. great location to most of the main sights. lots of nice restaurants to eat out in nearby. really cool bar area upstairs where there are bean bags to chill out on and listen to some good music :) the bunk beds in the dorm have curtains which is nice for some privacy. breakfast wasnt amazing but its free so if you're on a budget it'll fill you up. they organise nights out which is great for people looking to meet others.
loved this hostel! brilliant staff :) and the most amazing dog ever - wally!!! hes great for a cuddle! a really nice chilled out place, very homely feel. the location is amazing, the views are incredible. cannot wait to go back one day when theres snow! any excuse really to wear a onesie again haha! :)
absolutely loved this hostel! brilliant staff, always making everyone feel at home. waffles for breakfast...yum! great place to chill out and watch dvds or go along with everyone in the hostel on a night out, lots of fun :) you have to go to the all you can eat hungarian buffet and go see T Rogers the blues band-brilliant! :)
the owner was very friendly and the room we had was very clean with a really nice bathroom. not too far from the main old town. however was quite dissappointed to find out there was no kitchen for us to cook in. assumed as a hostel it would have had one. its more like a guesthouse than a hostel.
nice hostel, cool bean bag chill out area. gas stoves outside to cook youre dinner so it feels like youre camping!! near the main town but you do have to walk up a few small hills!
really friendly staff, good place to meet place. not far from the bus station which is always a bonus when youre carying alot of stuff!!!
great location to see around florence. nice small hostel, feels kinda homely! you have to walk up a good few flights of stairs which sucks when your bags are heavy! annoying too that there are only 2 bathrooms, get up early to avoid the queue!
it was a brilliant location and the perfect place to start off on the cinque terre walk. really near the train station. only downside is there are bunk beds in the kitchen so couldnt cook food in the morning for fear of waking others up! really loved the town and the smells coming from all the bakeries and pizzerias were amazing!
rely nice place, brill location, stayed there 3 times an never had a bad experience
