Sixmiles Guesthouse

This is a lovely, central place for quiet travellers. If you are looking to party it's not the place to choose, but otherwise I would absolutely recommend it.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was big and light, the breakfast is good and included in the price. Loved the lockers underneath the bunks and the curtains on the beds. The bar downstairs does good food and good drinks deals. The location is good in terms of being close to Gare du Nord, but is not central and is not a nice part of the city. I didn't feel safe outside at night. There are plenty of bathrooms but they are really hot and damp because there is no ventilation.

Ben & Richard's

This apartment has seriously steep stairs, so it's not suitable for small children or people who have mobility difficulties. Otherwise excellent - spacious, lovely, right in the centre of town.

Vanni is lovely. The room was spacious (although the bathroom was super tiny!) and there was a lovely little kitchen to use. Good location.

Boulevard Hostel Hamburg

This hotel (definitely a hotel, not a hostel) was clean and the staff were friendly and nice. Our room was very small but all with modern facilities - flatscreen, comfortable beds, new bathroom. It's not totally in the centre of town but the number 6 bus goes every 10 minutes so it's easy to get there, or it's a nice 30 minute walk. I would recommend this for couples who don't have any interest in meeting other people - not for solo travellers or people wanting to party.

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel

This place is great for atmosphere if you're young and want to meet people and party. But the rooms are tiny, the bathrooms not very clean, and it was really loud at night. All extras, like breakfast and lockers, you have to pay extra for. But if you do get it the breakfast is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

YHA Bristol

This place has good facilities and heaps of books to read! My only complaint was that the door in the hallway slammed every single time it closed, and kept everyone in the dorm awake.

Hatters at Hilton Chambers

We only stayed one night but this place seemed to be great - free tea, coffee, toast and jam, all the time! The room was nice too, the kitchen was spotless and there was a nice TV room. It would've been nice to stay longer!

Dublin International (YHA)

Dublin, Ireland

This place is huge and kind of institutional, and the bathrooms and kitchen are awful! But the rooms are nice and the staff are really friendly, so if you are having difficulty finding accommodation in Dublin, the YHA is definately an option. Breakfast is great too, and free.

Kilkenny Tourist Hostel

This place has nice rooms and is in a great spot. The bathrooms are a bit gross and the kitchen is chaotic, but there is enough character in the place to make up for it.

Sleepzone

The sleepzone is big and chaotic, and the rooms are really small, but the staff are friendly, and there is free internet and breakfast.

Slottsskogens Youth Hostel

This place has its good points and its bad points. The rooms are ridiculously small - the hostel didn't seem at all full, and yet there was a guy sleeping on the sofa in our already cramped room! But there is free internet, a good kitchen and a big common room.

Peanuts Hostel

Peanuts hostel is great. Silke, the owner, is lovely and has set up a great little hostel - it has a kitchen, lounge, a spotlessly clean bathroom and comfy beds. If you are coming to Kiel, stay at Peanuts hostel - there`s no reason not to.

This place is fantastic! A bit out of our normal price range, but totally worth it. The rooms are lovely, and the breakfast is incredible. There is even a mini-kitchen with a toaster, microwave and kettle. Wish we could've stayed longer!

This place is fine. The kitchen is a bit gross, but at least there is one, and the breakfast is fantastic. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are clean. They supply free pasta too, which is great!

The Yoho is fine. Good big lockers, and the bar has good cheap food. Showers are a bit of a pain, but clean. Sound of Music movie every morning is cool.

Easy Palace has great rooms - they are big, light rooms with really confortable bunks. Not many facilities - no laundry, kitchen, breakfast etc but if you dont need those, then this is a nice place to stay.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Maybe a little hard to find but still there is our laundry room with washing machines and dryers in the back yard, our small guest kitchen upstairs and the all you can eat breakfast buffet next door. Please ask our staff. The Easy Palace question manager

Ethic Etapes Dijon

This hostel is fine - it´s clean, the staff are helpful and the rooms are nice. It does feel a bit institutional, but it´s nice and quiet and orderly if you are looking for some peace away from hoards of young people. Be warned though - no kitchen facilities!!!! And this is not the place to go if you are traveling alone, or looking for a place to meet people and party. It´s a bit out of town, but only an easy half hours walk, or the bus is very convenient.

Boston

This is a nice budget hotel - but be warned that this is a hotel, not a hostel. The internet costs money, the 'laundry' is a laundry service that costs money and there are no kitchen facilities. Cheap enough to go for if you need a break from crowded dorm rooms.

Triana Backpackers

Triana Backpackers is wonderful! It is a beautiful building, the staff are multi lingual and friendly, the facilities are plentiful and clean. My only complaint is that the directions on the website are very vague, and it took us a long time to find in the heat. Overall, highly recommended.
