Ok hostel that feels more like a B&B. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom which was OK. The place is a little dated and very well used but its comfortable enough. I think its a little overpriced and although the location is quite convenient I would recommend staying south of the Liffey close to trinity college and St. Stephen's Green which is beautiful and more interesting.

We stayed at Safestay for 10 days. Although it is new and modern there are a number of irritating drawbacks which mean I wouldn't stay here again - or recommend it. There are a thousand little rules which are policed strictly by unfriendly staff, who seem to be more focussed upon the 100's (literally) of school children turning up to each day to stay. The rooms are void of oxygen and windows that open fully. The rooms are incredibly hot and watch out for the pub crawl - its a complete joke!!!!

Great hostel. Very friendly staff. Location is good although if you want to go out on the town and rip it up you'll have to stay out all night as the metro closes at 12am and opens at 5am...
