Aircon, wifi and clean, spacious room. Fantastic location in a quiet fishing village. Watch sunset over the bay from the huge patio, swim in the pool, walk 10 mins to the local beach, explore the quieter southern side of El Yunque. Puerto Rico is so small that if you have a car you're still easy driving distance (20-40 mins) to Fajardo Ferry, El Yunque north side, bioluminescent bay, Luquillo beach etc. We used Naguabo as a base and explored all those places in the 4 days we were there.

Basic private rooms - bed and fridge, no wifi, no cupboards, no decorations etc - but the location and communal facilities made up for it. Fantastic communal areas, large kitchen, balconies, lounge, good wifi connections, good atmosphere and great views of San Juan and the fort. Great location on Calle San Francisco right in the heart of Old Town, walking distance to everything.

Hostel is 3 blocks from the hotel where you check-in, but still central to town and all the Route 66 bars etc. Spacious dorm (no bunks) meant it was mostly quiet at night, clean and bright, locker boxes under the beds. Wifi wasn't working when we were there but we were welcome to use the hotel wifi instead which we really appreciated. Williams is a fun little town (don't miss the nightly cowboy show!) and approx 1 hour drive from Grand Canyon so it's a great base.

Very modern, new and clean. Large lockers in dorm rooms and beds not too squeaky. Lots of different spaces to chill - huge kitchen/lounge/reception/games room etc - which meant that most areas were pretty quiet. Fine for us, but wouldn't work if you were after more noise and action. Great recommendations from staff (go to Simmons Building for great coffee and amazing bakery!). We only stayed one night so didn't do any of the activities but appreciated the info on airport transport etc.

Nice hostel, working distance from town, rooms spacious enough, with lockers, a fridge and bathroom. Nice outdoor courtyard, indoor seating and lounge. Good wifi, bottle shop right next door. Good atmosphere when we were there.

We stayed in August when the local uni students were on break and the whole area seemed deserted. Difficult to get to/from central Manchester without using a cab, and certainly difficult to get to Old Trafford which was the point of our visit. Only seemed to be one staff, who tried to be receptionist, breakfast cook, cleaner, information etc. Lots of stairs, building felt old, dark and creaky. Our attic room was odd, but light and bright with sink

Booked for my mum (60s) who stayed here for a weekend and loved it: Perfectly central to Minster. Thorough friendly welcome - paperwork quick and easy, showed me how to enter the keycode, use the lift, where the common areas were etc - all very new, as my part of the hostel only opened 2 days before! Modern unique individual interior, comfortable bed, storing suitcases on departure day was easy and efficient, tea/coffee/milk and biscuits in common kitchen.

Nice hostel in a city where there aren't many hostels. Very centrally located close to the harbour and with lots of tram connections, friendly helpful staff who told me about the "tourist" tram (3B/3T) and had good maps, large lounge/kitchen area

Still a great hostel, and we've had really good stays here in the past, but there should definitely be different rate/booking option for the back rooms as ours was small, stuffy, pokey, hot, uncomfortable and had a view of a brick wall. I would happily have paid extra to have a room overlooking the beach, as we'd specifically booked St Christophers to have a good view of the half marathon

Amazing value double room on one of the busiest weekends of the year in Brighton. We were sceptical about booking St Christophers, but our room was great, incredible views of the beach and pier, 3rd floor so there wasn't much noise from the pub below. The room was a little faded, but clean and spacious, staff were friendly and the location can't be beaten. We'll be back!

Nice stay. Creaky floors and doors made sleeping slightly challenging, and the dorm rooms are pretty small, but free breakfast, large common room, clean facilities, friendly staff and good location about 15 mins walk from Old Town were all good.

Great hostel walking distance from Gdansk's beautiful old town. Free breakfast, free computers/internet, great lounge and individually themed dorm rooms, cosy, clean, homely, pretty difficult to fault!

What a beautiful stay, thankyou Giacomo! Quiet, peaceful, clean, interesting, friendly, cheap, great breakfast and sightseeing ideas. I'll be back next time I'm in Roma!

Pleasantly surprised, given the poor rating and the fact that I visited during Jazz Fest. Liked the authentic local building, and spacious dorm room which was half empty for my whole stay. Bathrooms and linen were clean, and garden was a great place to relax and meet other travellers. Some handsoap in the bathrooms would have helped.

Great fun, great value with breakfast and dinner included, and really easy to meet people at dinner each night. Organised trips down to the hotel zone clubs for those who were interested, and were able to book tours as well. Friendly, welcoming owners. Dorm room is basic - bunkbeds and creaky fans, which made for some hot, noisy nights depending on how late people got home from the clubs, but the rooftop terrace, shady back garden and welcoming atmosphere definitely made it worth it.
