It is a hotel not a hostel. Small room (what else in Japan), but with everything you could want.

The hostel staff struggled to understand us and did not have change when we paid for our room. The fan they put in our room had no plug (they placed the wires directly into the power socket). The walls need to be painted and the place generally just cleaned. The food was OK but the clientele sitting in the eating room were odd. There was also no internet. On the positive side we had to leave at about 6am and they prepared a breakfast for us the night before.

I can't say that this hostel is as bad as its rating, however it is badly managed as I made a booking on hostel world and when I arrived I was told there was no record of my booking and they don't even have a dorm room with the amount of beds advertised. We were turned away. There are plenty of good hostels in Leon but for some reason Bigfoot has a monopoly. Instead, have a look at Lazy Bones, Via Via or Chilli Inn if you want to support someone who isn't a factory churning tourists in and out.

The hostel was OK. The staff did all speak English which is good in China, however in any other country that is not usually an issue. The rooms are cheap and nice, I would usually mark this hotel higher however there was a faeces smell that was in the reception and travelled down all the halls. Thankfully it stayed out of our room. However whenever leaving the room or entering the hostel from outside you where hit by the smell.

Great place to stay. The location is not right in town but you can drive to town in 5min or take a shortcut and walk there in 5min. The location is on a hill overlooking town and the valley for sunset, can be really nice. The bungalows are the best ones you'll find. There are cheap dodgy ones around but these are much nicer, like a real room not bamboo weave. Staff are really friendly and help the local communities too.

Verygood hostel we had some problems with our flights and the hotel staff were very helpful in offering us support. Their internet could be a little better as it kept dropping out. Careful if you book a double bed email in advance to confirm it's not a twin (although in our case they upgraded to fix problem). In all other ways it is a very good hostel. Also recomed to do the city tour with the hosel.

Good hostel with a lot of potential. The location is very good with great views of the Acropolis, some rooms even have a view of it from the balcony. Rooftop bar is is also very cool. Only problem was the staff seemed fairly confused and not especially friendly. I would recomend staying here but the hostel can be even beter with a little work.

The hostel needs to update its directions, most people spend a good hour or 2 trying to find it. The staff are off duty for large periods during the day, can be annoying if help is needed. If you book the 3 bed dorm then someone will be on a foldout bed in what is really a 2 bed room. The roof is good although after sunset it could use some lights and updated a bit to create a social atmosphere and space amongst guests.

The rooms are very small and cramped with too many beds, due to the lack of space it is difficult to find anywhere to place your bag. There are no lockers and there is only one key to the room that stays at the front desk. The location is good in terms of near the Acropolis however near a really dodgy square. There is a bar downstairs that seems fun but has no ventilation and when we were there everyone was smoking. The smoke drifted up the stairs and into the entire hostel.

Was a good hostel with a very good group feel. At the evening meal everyone sits down and gets to know eachother so it is a good chance to meet the other people in the hostel. The people that work there also get involved and take people out after dinner. We had an excellent time there that would not have been the same if not for the staff. ( we put cleanliness as very poor as the floors in the rooms were quite dirty and the bathrooms needed a good once over)

A fair hostel, a small kitchen space but good. There is a hostel cat that needs to be kept out of its favorite room. There should be some fly screens installed in the windows to stop the mosquitoes. The staff member (I only met the one person) is nice, helpful and friendly. The best thing about this hostel is the shower, it is awesome, there's one massive head suspended in the shower but at the flick of a switch it can come out of 6 on the side or a hand held piece, it also has an inbuilt radio.

A very good hostel that I would recommend. Has friendly staff and is very clean and secure. I would suggest that you attend the 5pm walking tour, it is quite informative about the city. Another tip for the hostel is to install fly screens on the windows to stop the mosquitoes from getting you in your sleep (a problem I have found all across Serbia and Romaina).

Check in is a little slow, however, I found the staff extreemly helpful, despite what others have said. Location is awesome. There also appears to be two options for rooms, partying or more reserved. If you want to party ask for to stay in the main hostel, if you want to rest ask for the room in the appartment, it is still a dorm but much less noise and partying. However not a fan of their "day stay" if you wish to stay inside the hostel or leave your bags after 10am it's €5 per bag and person.

The staff at this hostel were great, my girlfriend had her bday here and one staff member (Marina) helped organise a cake, flowers and champagne to supprise my girl. The location is right near the main drag and there are a whole lot for great places to drink and party, by day the beach is close and there are a range of places to day trip too (check that its not a Russian tour, unless you speak Russian). I would recomend to try and get the private double it's head and shoulders above the others.

A good place to stay, welcoming secure and with an adolescent playful dog. This is the best thing to see in Tirana. I would stay here, make use of the chill out area outside, enjoy some tap beers and make use of their kitchen. If you can locate it on a map before you get there and know where you will be droped off even better. Our bus from Berat dropped us on the opposite side of town a 40 min walk away, maybe a 10 min cab ride if we had known.

A great place to stay, very friendly staff and very helpful. There are plently of small trips and options that are presented by the staff. I would suggest if you go to the winery not to do a tasting, ask if you can be shown around and purchase a bottle (or 2) of wine. The tasing is €10, we had 3 small portions of wine and some cheese and olives. An entire bottle of wine is about €5-7. But the hostel is great, the rooms are comfortable especially the private double.

Excellent hostel with very helpful staff and a big nightlife. When I was there it was not a place to sleep but a place to drink and stay up late. Definately worth a visit, a place that could be stayed at for a long while. The staff are very helpful and remembered my name the whole time. The only downside was every room had drawers and all except the room I had could be locked. This room needs to have some bolts attached to the drawers.

Tommy is the most friendly guy I have ever met. He is extreemly helpful, honest and hard working. He deserves every bit of luck he gets. I would highly reccomend people stay here. The ways for the hostel to improve would be to have another toilet or to have two rooms, one for the shower and one for the toilet. The other is a better fan system for the rooms as they can be warm at night. Despite the last comments, STAY at THIS hostel.

A very cool hostel, the sort of place you could stay for months. The owners are very helpful and will help you get around the island (if they have business there). The hostel is slightly secluded however the hosel is a party in itself, if your tired or want quiet just go to your room. One drawcard about this hostel is its sand beach, I don't think that the other beaches are sand. At breakfast you sit down place your order and the balcony has the best view I have EVER had from a hostel.

One of very few places to stay in Genova. Was a place to put your head down to sleep. Your are booted out of the rooms at 10, even if you aren't checking out. You are booted out of the entire hostel between 12 and 2, even if you aren't checking out. The location is way out of town, only bonus of this is you get a good view. There is nothing to do in the hostel, the TV/Chill room is out of order and they turn off all the lights at midnight. Staff are helpfull though.

Dear Dean, I am so sorry you weren't able to sleep well in our beds. We have brand new spring mattresses in our beds, but these things are very individual. Just because a bed is comfy for one person, it doesn't mean everyone will sleep well in it. Some people sleep better on foam mattresses, and so we have those in some extra beds. If you ever stay with us again, ask for one of those, it might help. Kindly Lena
