Very friendly staff. You are made to feel like one of the family. Definitely the best place to stay in Mandalay.

+Great place to meet other travellers and very sociable. Love the free coffee, tea and water. - The trips offered were disappointing as they rely on you hiring an e-bike which not everyone is comfortable doing. I suggest they have a board for people to offer to take a passenger so that people are not excluded from these trips.

Great place to stay. Lots of activities put on. Great location and facilities. My only negative is I was put in a room that had just been broken into, including the lockers, and wasn't informed of this at the time of checking in where I had to pay up front. This was a separate building and has no CCTV, yet the main building with 24 hour reception has CCTV! Security on this building should be the same level as the main building.

This place has a great breakfast, especially considering the price for a bed. The roof is a great place to soak up the sun with mountain views. The tours are okay if you speak Spanish but if you don't you are better off using a tour company in town. One of the tours I went on through the hostel was a school trip!

Pariwana Hostel Lima, Lima, Peru

This is the best hostel I have stayed in in Peru. Great security, with sockets in lockers to charge devices, and little extras such as a towel and soap in the girls dorm. as well as a hair dryer in the ensuite. Reception are very helpful and there is a good atmosphere. The only negative is that my dorm was really noisy, both from the bar upstairs and outside until at least 2am. Saying this though, when I return to Lima in a few days, I still want to stay in the same dorm..

The staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average and better at Kokopelli in Cusco. There is also no laundry service available here. Security in the hostel is good, however, when the beach doors were open a woman walked into our dorm from the beach and asked how much the beds were. Although people wear wrist bands, these are never checked when people are coming and going. Also, unfortunately there hot water brke whilst I stayed so there was no hot water for at least 3 nights.

The dorm I was in was clean and comfortable, but the lockers are outside in the courtyard which I don't think is as secure as being in the room. There were 4 in my dorm but we were given one key. We were not all travelling together so this was inconvenient. The staff were friendly enough but this is the only place in Peru I've been asked to pay upfront suggesting they have trust issues. Sandboarding is included but since it was a holiday, for the same price we only got 1 hour instead of 2

Very friendly hostel with a nice atmosphere. The only downside is the location in my opinion. It is not too far from Plaza de Armas, however, as you get close to the hostel, it is much quieter. I actually got robbed on my way to the hostel in broad daylight and there were lots of locals around yet nobody helped me.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Didn't find them pushy with tours and got good discounts due to staying at the guesthouse. The room was comfortable and little extras were thought of, such as a worldwide adaptor and bottle opener. Great location - 5 mins to Walkjng Street and 10 to the beach. Only negative was the fact we were on the 2nd floor and had to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. This was not easy for some members of the group.

Great place. Very quiet when I stayed so can't comment really on the atmosphere but staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Also check out their sister guesthouse, The Village House, in Santubong (Damai) if you want to relax by a pool. I would give it 100% except the food didn't float my boat. Happy travels :)

This is a great place to meet people. It's friendly and perfect for chilling out in. You get what you pay for - accommodation is basic. I really liked Ellen room. It was a good size and very quirky. If you are travelling alone, I would recommend this room. I wasn't as keen on the bungalow I moved into later though, as the step into the bathroom is too steep and I almost cut my foot several times due to this. Also, there is no lock on the inside. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place with a good atmosphere. The beds are extremely comfy and I wasn't backpacking! Lockers are big enough to hold a carry on suitcase plus there is a container for each person underneath the beds. The pool is a great place to hang out and meet people and a welcome escape from the beach. The only downside for me was that the communal bathroom downstairs wasn't very clean - particularly the sinks although I saw the cleaners go in every morning. I would definitely recommend this place.
