this was a really good hostel! i had no idea what to expect in that corner of the world but my fears were totally allayed. comfortable bed, good shower facilities, friendly staff, all nice and clean. only thing i would recommend is don't book a double room with a window if you can't cope with road noise. the main street below is busy 24/7 and there are lit billboards just outside the front windows. it wasn't a problem for me, but i can see how others might. would recommend, all in all!
this hostel wasn't very good, tbh. the reception keeps really short hours (thankfully i was purely accidentally able to pay the cleaner before i left at 7.30am), the room was hot, stinky and loud (no aircon in middle of summer, so window open and therefore traffic noise) and the entire place just felt really seedy. definitely not worth $30/night. on the upside though, the security was good - lockers provided - and it's within about 3 minutes walk of central station. well-placed but shoddy.
absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!! central location, good prices, the staff are absolute champions, met cool people there, and the wifi worked in the room!!
absolutely nothing bad to say about this place!!! the owner was a total champ, more than willing to sit down and chat, mark out places on the map, etc. the beds were comfy and the hostel is smack in the middle of the city. sadly we were there during a bit of downtime (just after xmas) so i can't comment too much on the character of the place. in any case, would recommend in a heartbeat.
the bed was comfortable, there were lockers, the wifi actually works in the rooms (this doesn't happen in most hostels), the included breakfast was decent, and it's only about 10min walk from the centre of the old city. cool people, had a fun night out on the town.
facilities-wise this place was great - free wifi, breakfast, nice rooms, comfy beds, only about 5min walk from the train station. the staff were friendly and helpful. but atmosphere-wise it was a ghost town. the bar was empty both nights i stayed there, and this in summer/early autumn. if you're travelling in a group i'd recommend it, but for a solo traveller....nah
really nice cosy hostel. easy to find, within 5-10min walk of the main station, met a bunch of cool people there. nice rooftop bar, comfy beds, etc. if it'd had breakfast available (either included or an optional extra) it would have been perfect! would happily stay again.
Pros: the pool was nice, the air-con was a godsend and the supermarket & bus stop were close. Cons: it was less of a "villa" and more of a DIY-converted room in someone's house. Actually about 20min walk from town. The "manager" spoke only Greek and the two times I had a question (one of which was "can I check out now?") he'd simply vanished. Overall: Not worth 40 euros/night - given the choice again I'd either stay in a hostel for less, or pay more for an actual hotel/villa/etc.
Brilliant hostel. Staff friendly, met so many cool people, the city tour they ran was amazing and the guide had me absolutely captivated the entire time, the rooftop bar was really cosy with a stunning they, and it was overall well above average hostel quality. Only downsides were the lack of shower curtain - seems to be the norm in greece though - and lack of ventilation in the toilet. Would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone.
absolutely nothing bad to say about the place! had a great time, met a lot of cool people, all the staff were friendly and cool to chat to, the bar + tapas at night time was great, centrally enough located but not smack in the centre with all the noise... perfect, all in all. would stay again a+
all in all a nice hostel! clean beds, clean rooms, good location, cool people there, etc. only drawback would be the lack of breakfast, or an internet computer of some description. for 20+ euros per night you should get a bit more than just something to sleep on. still, i would definitely recommend this place!!
It's a good hostel! Everything is clean, new, and generally well-organised. Only downside is the not-included breakfast - it's already pricier than most hostel dorm rooms, I don't really want to pay an extra 5 euros for breakfast on top of that.
hostel is right outside the main station. great location, staff were friendly. breakfast was alright too. toilets and showers were also really clean. good show all round!
hostel was really easy to find, price was right, old dude at reception was hilarious, complimentary breakfast was sweet, no complaints!

no complaints whatsoever! the staff were really friendly and put up with my terrible german without switching to english! 10 points
the room was pricey for hostel prices. was in a pitch black basement room by myself with 10 free beds - a little creepy. woken up at 6am by the really loud staff, whose room was next to mine (i think). also not much of an atmosphere in the bar - mostly rock-climbing types who have one beer then go home. otherwise no real complaints - breakfast was great, location was within 10min of hauptbahnhof, desk staff were friendly, everything was clean... great for school trips. haha.
place was really clean, in a quiet area outside of the main city in a bit of a park area. would have loved to see it in summer! no complaints whatsoever.
this hostel was cheap, upgraded me to a private room for no charge. close to city by tram or 45min-ish walk. downsides: the room and entire floor stank like cigarette smoke, and the housecleaning lady knocked on every door at 8am sharp each morning. if checkout is at 11am why have housekeeping there before? she bothered me 3 times before 10am. i told her i was checking out at 11am and she got pretty feisty. gave me the third degree. otherwise staff were helpful and overall worth the money.
good hostel! i visited during a quiet season so not much going on, but can imagine it gets going when busy :)
sweet hostel! bit quiet but i guess you get that this time of year. room was really clean and the free internet/drinks is just too sweet a deal. would stay again and recommend to anyone!
everything about this hostel was top notch. breakfast was slightly expensive but dece selection. would stay again.
this hostel was really great! everything was very new and clean. met some cool people and enjoyed myself. the breakfast is well worth it, too. i'm always wary of paying in advance for hostel breakfasts, but this one is GOOD. i'll never stay anywhere else in frankfurt again!
i was actually booked into a hotel around the corner called city hotel. this was good for what it was...a simple hotel at a sweet price. breakfast was brilliant. only real complaint was the room stank of cigarette smoke. needed a few hours to clear it but in winter... all in all would stay again as long as i could have a non-smoking room.
all good here - one thing to note: the beds are made out of memory foam or something and i wouldnt call it heaps comfortable. cheers
this was a great hostel! airport pickup and drop-off, friendly dude ran the place (can't remember his name, it has been a year now...) and bikes to ride around the area. thumnbs up!
amazing hostel! everything is brand new and i've paid much more to stay in some absolute DUMPS. loved it here. would definitely stay again!
good hostel! everyone was friendly and helpful. my only concern was that the door to my room was unlocked most of the time and easily accessible from the street. plus the 2 spanish people who should've booked a private room...
when i stayed in this hostel i had a great time, met some really cool people and apart from the frenchmen in my room who repeatedly closed the windows (in the middle of summer!!) at night time, i enjoyed myself. would recommend.
i had a sweeet time at this hostel. drank the awesome lasko, comfortable bed, very clean and close to the cbd. would recommend
