Little Big House

Thessaloniki, Greece

Really enjoyed my stay here - super--chilled-out hostel, friendly staff, quiet location. There's a lovely teŕrace to hang out on, cute café inside, big lockers for all your stuff, comfortable, quiet dorms, with details like reading lamps and plug sockets for each bunk. The staff were very helpful with calling to make a bus reservation and providing info about the city. There's also a kitchenette in the dorm which was good for cooking simple meals.

Riad Baraka

Chefchaouen, Morocco

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Baraka - honestly can't recommend it highly enough. It was super-clean, comfortable, and the owner looked after us throughout our stay. The riad has good wifi, ample hot water, and the roof terrace is lovely. The shared bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen anywhere in the world. The place was a little hard to find at first, as the taxi dropped us off at the wrong gate - so be sure to ask for Bab El Ain, as it's very easy from there. We'd love to come again!

Penguin Village

Dahab, Egypt

I have stayed here a couple of years ago, and had no hesitations about coming back for a second visit - it is a lovely hotel with accommodating staff who are always willing to help out and arrange things. The restaurant (by the sea and staggering distance from the rooms!) is a very relaxing place to spend a few hours :-)

Rolling Stone Hostel

Brasov, Romania

Lovely hostel with friendly and helpful staff. It's in a quiet location but only 10 minutes walk to the centre. Showers and toilets are very clean. Great place to meet other travellers and relax in the bar or lounge. We ended up staying an extra night because it's so nice here! The trips are good if you are on limited time and don't mind paying for the convenience, otherwise they are a bit rushed.
