Within walking distance (10 minutes) to the Ein Gedi public beach -- snack bar, showers, etc., but the restaurant there was closed down. Next door to the Natural Reserve Park (5 minutes). Weekends, youth tours (buses) stop at the Hostel for 1 or 2 nights. Large buffet breakfast is included. And now there is free Wi-Fi in the rooms. Rooms were cleaned daily, with new soap, towels, and free coffee/tea. Not a great place to meet other travels, except at breakfast.
Centrally located and about 2 blocks from the beach, Momo's is a good place to meet other travelers in their breakfast/TV room . I was in a single room with shared toilet/shower and with a TV (Fox news, National Geographics, etc). Free wi-fi, but you need to be in the breakfast/TV room. Common areas cleaned several times a day, but no maid service in the rooms. Breakfast is coffee/tea with a large chocolate (or other) filled roll. Several security cameras in the hallways. 24 hour reception.
This is a B&B where they rent out 3 rooms using a common bathroom. It is 5-10 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge in a quiet corner near St. Paolo square. There is free Wi-Fi, and breakfast of coffee, juice, toast & cookies. There is no common area for meeting the other tourists, no TV. You get 3 keys - building, apartment & room - but very important to let them know by email when you are arriving, so someone will be home to give you the keys.
Great location in historic Istanbul. Daily housekeeping, towels and nice buffet Turkish breakfast (boiled eggs, turkish pancakes, olives, etc.). Keys are left at Hotel, so you always need to ring (24 hour reception) to enter. Rooms have Wi-fi, and their website nicely shows all the rooms. Room 12 by the entry overlooking the street can get some street noise at nice. Owners were always there at breakfast to answer any questions. I would stay there again.
Very nice guesthouse next to the Flower Market with a few rooms sharing the bathroom. Cable TV (CNN & BBC) and you can make coffee/tea in the morning, but no breakfast included. Edwin is a very pleasant host and he runs the Downtown restaurant on the ground floor. The only downside is the street noise at night from the bars down the street. But I would definitely stay there again.
Basic rooms near Kings Cross Station. Rooms and common toilets are very clean, and there is TV (cable) and Wi-fi. Basic breakfast with instant coffee/tea, toast, and cold cereal with milk, and also orange juice. Towels are also provided. Owner is alwas available and checking to see how you are doing. There can be some street noise if you get a room overlooking the street, since this is a very popular area with people walking to the local pubs.
Nice place on a quiet street near the British Museum. Rooms have frig, microwave, and lots of space for clothing and books -- could be used long term for students. No TV in the rooms -- there is one1 in the hugh library downstars -- but there is wi-fi. Very clean and the owner makes great coffee in the morning. There is also PC with printer in the library downstairs.
I stayed at the single room (not the main hostel) near the Billa Supermarket more than half way walk to Rialto Bridge. You get keys to building, floor and room.-- there are no staff there, no breakfast, wi-fi, or common area. But it is like your own private hideaway. There is a security camera in the hallway, but I never saw anyone else. You can make coffee/tea and there is a refrigerator and TV -- with 100s of italian channels, none english.
I stayed in the Single Room with Bath. It is located near the Billa Supermarket moreF than half way from the Train Station to the Rialto Bridge. It was on the 2nd floor with a little Refrigerator, Fax, and TV with cable for a few hundred Italian Stations -- none in English. If you want to pretend you're a local, it is a quiet secluded place. If you're looking to meet other Tourists, then there was no common area in the building I was in. There was also no Internet.

Very clean, charming, quiet. Nice library with Internet & TV -- also has free Wi-fi, and real coffee for breakfast.
Room 18 can be noisy since it has a window overlooking the street where people sit a chat.
very clean, good place to meet travelers
good location, clean, and some rooms with wonderful view of the grand canal
very clean place, good location
Highly recommended. Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. There is always someone from the staff around if you have questions or need help. Everything is very clean, and there are 3 small separate bathrooms with showers. The breakfast room has 2 computers for the Internet (no charge). There is also a small kitchen, but I didn't see anyone use it.
A very small Bed and Breakfast -- one single and two doubles. Good location near the Rialto Bridge. Very clean -- clean linen daily. Very quiet and the staff is rarely around except for breakfast which is served in the rooms. You need to call or email ahead to make sure someone is there when you arrive.
A great place for Naples. Most staff does not speak much English, but they are friendly and try to be helpful. Very clean and the TV has 40 channels -- though all in Italian. They had to switch my room after the first night, so they gave me a 3 day Pass for the local buses and to visit 2 museums for free. Very nice.
Great place with friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Organized a wonderful trip to Afroditsas and Pammukale.
Great Place but don't expect to sleep before 2 AM due to the bar below. One of the more lively places in Bodrum. Great location and very clean.
Great location behind Tansas Store -- central but quiet. Owner provides free internet and sometimes even apple tea, turkish tea or cola. He has a very fat cat that only sleeps and eats. Rooms are very clean and the owner is very eager to please.
Absolutely wonderful. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Great buffet breakfast. Helped book last minute excursions I really wanted to go on. Very clean.
