I thought the check in/payment process was unclear. I arrived to the hostel to find I owed twice as much as I thought I was going to owe. That throws a girl who's traveling for a loop

This hostel is amazing. The location simply cant be beaten (literally on the shore of Lake Como), I swam in the lake every morning. Breakfast was adequate, dinner was GREAT for the price. It's nice and cool, the facilities are clean, the staff is spectacular, the house prosecco is only 2 euros, the view is amazing. And it's REALLY cheap for what you get. They could easily charge double the price. I will be going back for my next European vacation.

I rarely like a hostel as much as I liked this one. The location is perfect for getting into and out of Milan, it is spotlessly clean, each room has an en suite bathroom, there is free breakfast (proper breakfast too, with eggs and fruit), free dinner, awesome kitchen, roof top garden/seating area. Seriously this is one of the best hostels I have stayed in in years.

This place was set up to party! If that's what your in for, go for it. But I was passing through, and pretty tired. Loved the building, but wasn't a big fan of the security or the party that spilled into the street. To each their own I guess.

The hostel itself isn't all that impressive, and there is a strange vibe throughout. However, you can't beat the location, I watched the sun set on the beach.

I love the location, and I love Te Anau. The hostel left a lot to be desired. There was only one shower, the kitchen was a disaster. But the view is gorgeous and if you're in Te Anau, it's a good place to hang out for the evening.

The big windows in the kitchen are gorgeous, the beds are comfy and the view is spectacular. I liked that it was a ~10 min walk from downtown, as it allowed a more quiet stay, while everything was still close to everything. It was a bit of mess in the kitchen and generally around the hostel. Would still happily go back.

This is one of the best hostels in NZ. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the beds are SUPER comfy the lounge is excellent and the location can't be beat. The painting in the kitchen is also pretty darn cool. I stay here every time I'm in Kaikoura.
