The location was great, very central and near the tube station. The pub was a nice place to spend down time over a beer. Admittedly, it is a little awkward that there is no other common area, but at quieter times, it is more than acceptable. Beds and bathrooms met my basic requirements, but the rooms are a bit cramped with triple bunks and a minimum of open floor space. The key cards quit working a few times, and the in-room lockers are purse size, but it was a cheap place to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is on a quieter street and it is only a short walk to reach bars, restaurants, and the beach. The room was nice and clean and the deck/common area was a good place to relax and chat with the other guests. The owner was friendly and she offered some tips about the area and helped us to organize our transportation to our next destination. The in-room fridge and A/C were much appreciated. I would stay here again.
We were only here for a short stay, but our room was comfortable. The deck/common area has lots of chairs and hammocks and, in the evenings, lots of guests spent time there, making it easy to meet and talk to other travellers. The door to the bathroom in the double room was a shower curtain and the room was not super clean, but it was ok. The WiFi did not work in our room, but in the common area, it worked fine.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ended up taking a day trip on our last day, but leaving our luggage at the hotel was not a problem. The room was clean and the central area was a comfortable spot to sit and relax or eat at the restaurant. The hotel is centrally located and the bus station is in walking distance. As described, there is no A/C and, although the ceiling fan created a nice breeze, it was 95 degrees outside and our room was warm. (For us, no hot shower was just fine.)
Traditional hostel experience. The staff was relaxed and friendly and the location was good. Cool little patio for relaxing or hanging out. In the rooms, the furniture is old and the walls were thin (including the divider separating the ensuite bathroom from the hallway bathroom). However, good night sleep and good value.

The location is convenient (right next to the main train station), the staff are friendly, the bar is cool. In general, everything is fine, but it could use some improvements. The bunk beds squeak, the floors creak, and the lockers squeak. It is not too bad, but definitely noticeable when people come in and out. The bathrooms in the 40-bed room are poorly organized with no shelf or hooks directly in the shower compartment, plus the floors were always wet. That said, my stay was still nice.
I have stayed multiple times and am always satisfied with my stay.
This apartment was significantly more expensive than anywhere else we stayed in Croatia, but prices for everything in the old town was ridiculous. We were only in the old town for a couple of days so it was great to stay so centrally. The owner was nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Excellent! Our stay was great and the family was very friendly. Taxi rides to the old town and to the bus station are pretty inexpensive. The room was spacious and beautiful. Please note that there are no street signs so it may be hard to find the first time.
Nice apartment close to the bus station and the old town. We enjoyed our stay very much and it was an excellent base for exploring the city. It is probably easiest to arrange a time to meet the owner in advance. We found it by looking for the T-Mobile store, but had to call her so that we could get the key.
We stayed one night and were quite satisfied. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The room had enough space and there were no bunk beds. However, the lockers were out in the hall rather than being in the rooms and there is not one assigned to each bed. We used a locker on the floor above because all the ones outside our room were taken. Happily, there were free lockers available in the luggage room.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hostel. Checking in was much more informal than I am accustomed to (probably related to the absence of a reception desk). However, the lounge areas were inviting and rarely empty. The staff was friendly and helpful and the 1€ beers and waters were a convenient bonus. I would definitely go back.
The location is easy to reach from the train station and the staff was very nice and eager to be helpful. I gave it an average rating on cleanliness only because the hotel desperately needs to be remodeled. The bathroom layout is awkward and the wallpaper is peeling off. It was a comfortable place to sleep at the rate I wanted and had the added bonus of a free breakfast.
Located close to the river; easy to reach with a bus from Keleti train station. It is a small, informal place without a real reception area. We stayed in the private double room located a few doors down and it was comfortable and quiet. There is a comfortable cafe right around the corner with beer and coffee, but don't expect the atmosphere of a hostel bar. We enjoyed our stay, it was the right price, and we would absolutely stay there again.
This was a comfortable and affordable place to stay. It's only a short walk from a couple Metro stops and there are several bars in the area as well. Our room smelled like smoke, but we left the windows open while we were there and it didn't bother us too much. We had a double room and didn't see any other hotel guests during our stay so it's probably not a place to meet other travelers.
The staff was nice and helpful. It was clean enough and we enjoyed having a few beers at the on-site bar after a long day of exploring. We stayed in a 12 bed room and it was a bit crowded. There was room for a small table and two chairs, but the other 10 people better plan on standing in close quarters or sitting on their own bunk.
Great place! The bar was a nice place to hang out and drink a beer after a long day exploring the city. The room was clean and comfortable.
