Falcon Cave Suites

Great little hostel. Very close to the main hub of Goreme. The jacuzzi was a nice touch, and the facilities worked well (other than the drain in our shower not draining well). Tasty breakfast and nice enough staff (one guy with a cute dog). Only thing with staying in a hostel made in rock, the moisture really stuck and the more we used the facilities, the muggier it got. Overall, a great place to stay.

Anzac Wooden House

Nice little hostel with helpful staff members and a sitting area upstairs. Good breakfast. Very close to restaurants and some of the main sights. Not the most comfortable of beds (springs dug into my back), private rooms very small and shower (which is over the toilet) didn't stay hot for very long. BUT great location as long as you're a heavy sleeper and won't awake to the sunrise prayers that are blaring over the speakers right behind the hostel. All in all, a good enough place to stay.

Flying Pig Downtown

This is my second time in Amsterdam but first time at this hostel. It was as good as any other. I always enjoy a hostel that has a common hang out area, which this place definitely had, both for the smokers and the drinkers! So the atmosphere was great. Breakfast was also good. No real complaints to make other than it can get noisy when the party people come back from their night out. But that's to be expected from any hostel in the heart of Amsterdam!

Oasis Downtown Vallarta Hostel

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Great place to stay - right in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta. Staff is very nice, it's very clean, and has a beautiful rooftop patio that overlooks the city with some beautiful views. My ONLY complaint is that because it's right next to the church, I woke up every hour on the hour to the sound of Ave Maria being played off-tune in church bells. Even in my drunken state I still managed to wake up each hour! So, if you're a solid sleeper, you'll be fine. If you're not, good luck!

We are ever so sorry about the Church bells. They normally do not play every hour but on weird times.. at mid night is the last and then at 3 am!? and then at 6am. We do apologize but it is part of living in sucha devout country, think of it as part of the culture of Mexico. :D

Fairly close location to the city centre which is great - most things are within walking distance if you don't mind wandering. Rooms are unlocked at all times, and not enough lockers for everyone in the room, but security to the hostel from outside is well secured with 24 hour reception. Place is small, and the girls bathroom is TINY, but all work with hot showers. They provide a shuttle service to the airport if you need it as well, but beware, it comes early! Overall, I'd stay again.

Husa Mas Camarena

Excellent hotel for the price, but very very VERY out of the way from the city. There is a bus that basically drops you off and picks you up at the door, but the last bus is at 830, and there's NO other way to get back regardless of what the tourist office tells you, so plan to have early nights. Earliest bus is also at 730, so if you have an early morning train or something, plan to stay closer within the city the night before. Overall, really nice hotel, but incredibly far.

PLUS Camping Roma

Great place to stay if you don't mind traveling a bit out of the city centre. It was basically like a resort! The pool, bars and disco were always happening! Great laundry services with lots of comps used for net, although a bit pricey if you don't have your own comp. A good 40 minutes outside of the city centre by metro and bus, but there's a super awesome grocery store across the street which is much cheaper than the store offered on the actual grounds. All in all, would def stay again!

Great place to stay if you don't mind going a bit out of the city centre. We got a bit lost when we first got there as the instructions need to be updated! Do not go straight and expect to find an overpass over the motorway. You must turn left after the courts. There is a sign on the pavement that guides you. If you've hit the motorway, you've gone too far! Other than the distance, really nice place - similar to a resort! Nice pool, and the bungalows are very cosy. I'd stay again.

At first, we thought this place was a little sketchy and didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews. However, it turned out to be an awesome and very cosy little place! The owner is amazing and super sweet and funny. The bedroom had single beds rather than bunks which was nice for a change! The kitchen was fairly big. However, it tends to be taken over quite a bit by the people who are in the room right next to it. Very close to the metro. Great stay! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Good stay. Average rooms that get cleaned everyday. Bathroom on our floor was constantly flooded, but all the others were fine. Had huge barrels for lockers which fit a ton. Location was great-right in the red light district. Friendly staff. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Globe Backpackers Exeter

Nice place with a fairly decent location. Staff is helpful and friendly. Good sized kitchen with a fairly large sitting room with games. Beds are comfy and bathrooms are fairly clean. All in all, I'd def stay there again.

Safestay York

Pretty decent location - about a 5 minute walk from the train station. Beautiful old building with some history with large dorm rooms. The loo was a little less than desirable as it was shared between all 12 people in the hostel. And the beds squeak really loudly - so be prepared if you're a light sleeper. Overall, I'd stay again.

70%

Very close to city centre, and basically in the heart of some great pubs and eateries. The loo in our room was less than desirable, as the water pressure of the shower was non existent, and the toilet itself had issues with flushing. It's a large hostel, and therefore, lacks a great deal of character. The rooms and beds were fine, but the breakfast provided tended to run out by around 830/9, when it was supposed to be served until 930, so get there early! Overall, it was an okay stay.

Really nice stay. The area is beautiful, but a bit far from the main attractions; however, close to the metro. Breakfast was delicious! I'm not sure how the other rooms were, but we were in a four person with our own shower and toilet. The room was tiny - could of done with two bunks instead of one bunk and two singles. And the shower room was tiny - could barely move! Plus the water kept backing up. But that was just our room, not sure of the others. Overall, I'd def stay again!

The LONDON EYE Hostel

London, England

Considering we were out till 8 in the morning, we didn't really get a huge chance to enjoy our stay. But it was fine enough for a couple hours sleep! The only complaint I have were the co-ed bathrooms. We were on the top floor, and there were only two toilets and one sink for the entire floor. But it's only about 10 minutes walk from the nearest station, and they do include breakfast. Fine by me!

Albatross

A little big and impersonal for my liking, but in a really great location just a few minutes walk from the train station, and fairly clean (although the shower was freezing, so I didn\'t bother with it!) The bathrooms were on the next floor up and all facilities (lounge and kitchen) were downstairs through another set of doors and stairs. Overall, the location is by far the best feature.

Royal Mile Backpackers

Staff were really nice and helpful. The location is great - right on the royal mile. Lacks a real lounge space (more like the waiting area when you first walk in outside the reception), but if you're not there to chill out, then it's not an issue. Bathrooms are a bit small with only two toilets and two showers, but if there's not a lot of people staying there, then it should be fine. Overall, I recommend!

High Street Hostel

Really nice hostel with friendly staff in a great location. Breakfast is available to purchase for a cheap price. 24 hour reception helps with security issues. Both a lounge area upstairs and down with a nice sized kitchen and a pool table. The only thing I didn't like were the co-ed bathrooms. But other than that, I highly recommend!

YHA Salisbury

Quite clean and very safe. The codes are changed nightly, and all the rooms have locks on them. The bedrooms have sinks in them, which is good when someone's using the communal one. The breakfast is delicious! They charge 3 pound 50 for towels, though. The guy taking care of me was nice enough to let me rent one for a pound. Be sure to keep an open eye for the hostel signs, esp at night. The driveway is very long and dark with only a few lanterns. Overal, two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Bath Backpackers

I loved this place! The staff were all young and were a blast to party with. The location is great - very close to all the sites, and for a very decent price. The showers were a bit of a pain because you had to keep pressing the button for the water to stay on, but other than that, two enthusiastic thumbs up! Tidy and clean, and supply a basic, but still complimentary breakfast.

Good hostel to stay at. Fairly clean with helpful staff. They let me leave my luggage with them for two weeks when I was planning on returning before heading back to the airport at NO extra charge, which was totally awesome of them! *high five

Kobe Guesthouse

Kobe, Japan
63%

Overall a decent hostel, the only drawback was that it was quite far from the main city center area, with virtually nothing around it to really do, especially at night. The man who worked there was friendly enough, and it was safe with a security code to get in. But nothing too special. The room was average with an old bunk bed and quite small. But definitely doable if you\'re just looking for a quick, quiet place to spend a night on your way to the heart of Kobe.

Really nice hostel. I ended up staying there a second time. Very friendly and helpful staff, and overal good vibe. The bathrooms were a little less than desirable because so many people were using the one toilet available on the floor, but for a hostel, still decent.
