Amazing. The owner is incredible and will help you with anything you need. Fantastic location. Atmosphere is as good as can be expected from a pension. However, can be noisy at night, especially on the weekends (earplugs recommended if getting an early night!) Overall, extremely good, can't recommend enough.
Nothing special. Staff seem not to care really...
Great hostel for a good price. Fantastic location, 5 mins walk from the city centre and close to supermarkets. Definitely recommend.
Unbelievable facilities - more like staying in a boutique hotel than a hostel. Location is located very close to the train station but this area of the city isn't that great, you have to get a bus to sights, bar areas etc. Staff very helpful, spotlessly clean, and cheaper than any other hostel we stayed in in Japan. Top class.
Centrally located but staff's English is not fluent. They're very helpful but sometimes don't get the point across. Computers in hostel are very slow, door to hostel downstairs is often left open, as was the door to our floor. Nice place but a little lacking.
Awesome place. Great for a party, meeting new people, having fun. Owner came along one day and gave everyone in the bar free beer. Great location by the beach, staff are friendly and always remember your name, atmosphere is fun, attitude is really laid back. One of the best hostels I've stayed at!
Brilliant staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Nice location in an area with lots of restaurants and bars. Clean, cheap, free breakfast is good. After hearing so much bad about Manila it was nice to know a place like this existed!
Really a bad hostel. Well worth the money to stay elsewhere. No air con in dorms, no real security, staff are almost always absent (had to go across the road to an affiliated hostel to get our key card deposit back in the morning). Location is fine, in Causeway Bay near the shopping areas. No facilities really other than showers and toilets. They say they have a kitchen but it only has a microwave. Avoid!
Nice and a lot better than some other hostels in Hong Kong. Good air con, fast computers, book swap library, good location (in the shopping district, not the main bar district, but it's not far away). Staff are nice but a couple seemed a little iffy about info regarding the local area.
Really can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff are here, they go well above and beyond and obviously enjoy helping people out. Location is fantastic - right by the lake - the food they serve is a bit strange but is decent, and the rooms are to a good standard.
Got the feeling that if you don't book a tour here then they're not interested. We were told the hostel was full when we asked to stay another day, then as we were leaving we said we would return later to ask about tours, and immediately she said she might actually have some rooms free. Door remains unlocked and security isn't great, but location is good and it's clean. Claims it is 24 hr reception but they always made an issue if we wanted to return later.
The woman working on our first night didn't know much about the city at all - didn't know where any internet cafes were and couldn't suggest anywhere for us to eat - and she left half an hour early. No staff in the hostel from 7:30pm to 9am so it's a little strange. Location is very good, close to railway and centre of town. Showers are nice if a little cramped. Security is good, you get lockers and your own keys.
No booze allowed in the hostel! Nice place, the women are friendly and helpful. Location is very good, right by the main street. Common area is small. Not a place to come to party but a good place to get info on the city and base yourself.
Anastasia is brilliant, very helpful and accommodating, lots of advice and ideas about sightseeing/nightlife. The hostel is in a good location - about 25 mins walk to the Kremlin, with other sights nearby like Arbat. Bedrooms are really cool, hostel computers are fast, kitchen is good. It seems quite a few Russians stay here and they didn't really get involved with us but it wasn't a problem really.

The staff here are brilliant - they really know what they're talking about and can even help with unusual things (we wanted to get a Belorussian transit visa). It's a little walk out of the city centre, maybe 25 mins, but there's a nice sightseeing route you can do on your way in. Atmosphere is nice because everyone hangs out in the common area. Only problem was the doors to the hostel were often left open (not necessarily the staff's fault) and it felt like people could just wander in.
A nice hostel, good location, clean, kitchen facilities are nice, but a few too many rules. The fact that there is more than one toilet means it's above a lot of hostels in the city. Definitely v secure too, with the free lockers and code on the outer door.
Good location near the Old Town, clean, but sometimes seems more like a business than a hostel (e.g. have to buy all drinks in the hostel). Some of the staff were really good - Dennis showed us some great places - but some of the others didn't seem to know anything about transport/internet cafes/bars. It wasn't too busy while we were there but I guess that may just be the time of year.
One of the staff didn't know much about the local area, but overall it's a good hostel. Central, clean, nice rooms.
Good hostel. Cheap but they charge you for everything. Good crowd while were there
Staff are quite strange. You can't use the computers until they wake up because they are in their rooms and they will kick you out of the kitchen when they want to eat. It's a good place to meet people and a good location, but it has lots of flaws too. Sangria nights are fun
Nothing much happening in the hostel. It's near enough to the centre, only a short distance away, but the area is quite quiet. It's good value and the rooms are nice though
Some staff are very rude, others are nice
Everyone hated one of the women at reception
Really friendly, helpful staff that are always there. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to chill out
