As declared; the hostel is being renovated so the noise, mould and cracked walls are true, which would've been ok if you got a notice before booking. My room was probably better off than the other worst-case-scenarios described here, my only problem was that I booked a dorm but got a 3 Bed Private with a jucky ol' couple making their own noise (actually not the hostel's fault, this is just rude people). Apart from that, the night staff was really helpful and this is good value for your money.

The rating says it all. This is a great budget hostel; neat & clean, close to the metro/minimarts/restaurants/bars/you-name-it. The staff were friendly and helpful, specially the night receptionist (Dion?). If I would have to remark on anything at all, it would be that the common area is split up in three smaller spaces and there's only chairs and no comfy couches. But all in all I had a nice stay and would recommend this place. And did anybody notice their great playlists?

Me and my friend booked a 6 Bed Female Dorm and were surprised to get private rooms - amazing! It was really like sharing an apartment (bathroom and huge kitchen/common room) with a few other people. You could lock your own door behind you which was great since there were no lockers and we even had wifi in the rooms. Clean, comfortable and good location on walking distance from downtown. Breakfast wasn't satisfactory, but on the whole we had a nice stay.

Not in Zona Hotelera, but a short bus ride away from the beaches and buzzing nightlife. Located close to the bus station, grocery stores and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and the DIY breakfast was great! Lots of fun and late nights but also possible to sleep for those who wants to. Always clean and neat common areas + bathroom, well taken care of by the staff.

Good location if you want to hang around and see all the tourist spots (close to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque). The staff is very helpful if you want to take tours somewhere else or just in general need something. Clean bathrooms and comfy beds - nothing to complain about. The breakfast is nice and rich!

Not next door to the RLD but still good location close to the Waterlooplein! Very steep stairs and tiny rooms (yes, you're basically sharing a bed with your neighbour) but the staff was very helpful with luggage and keeping the place clean. No lockers but lots of doors and lots of keycards - also if you're looking for a party; you'll get a good start by knocking on the other doors in the hostel, there's lots of people everywhere if you just look around!

Nice, clean and safe all in all (although it would be nice to have a personal locker). Even though it's not in the city center you can still find the party a tram/bus ride away. Breakfast was great!

Located in the middle of the RLD, walking distance to all the main sites. During my stay everything was neat and tidy every morning and I felt very safe. Some noise during the nights from the street but not from the club or bar. You get free ear plugs if you want! Very kind and helping staff and the breakfast is big and fresh!

Regarding the security - it felt a bit like the main door was open all the time even though the staff wasn't in the reception. In the evening when everybody was socializing both the main door and the security door to the common room was wide open.
