Solid hostel. Not much atmosphere but that's to be expected. Very clean and aircon too.

staff are really rude. they don't talk just growl at you. you feel like you're offending them but staying at the hostel. rooms are fine but the lockers don't work. common area is good and the kitchen is fine too.

Really cool staying on a boat! It's pretty tight in terms of space in the rooms but it is a fully functioning boat. solid breakfast in the morning and a really nice bloke who runs the show. a bit of a walk into town but if the weather is good it's not a big deal.

Staff need be nicer and more approachable, not complaining about guests in the common areas when other guests are around. clean the place, it's simple. people aren't expecting immaculate rooms and amenities but are expecting the beds and bathrooms to be clean. finally, the place is really expensive as it is so either clearly state the VAT charge is not included or include it in the price. It's rude and arrogant to then say with a smirk on your face that guests should read the fine print.

A great little place. It´s like the town itself - quite, relaxing but very welcoming. the rooms are clean, the kitchen and bathroom are clean and the staff are amazing.

somewhat standard larger hostel. great new upstairs bar with a really top bloke named Alex running it. he´s a wealth of info and can give you some great insights and tips. breaky is really good and the location in terms of being close to the train station is great.

this is more of budget hotel then hostel. got a surprise when we got a private double with ensuite and our own tv which was great. i can see how this would be a kind of boring place for people looking to party because the place also hosts business conferences and families. not a bad thing just something to keep in mind

clean and safe though a little out of the way. easy to get to if you use public transport. the biggest pain is that the reception is closed between 12pm and 5pm. good breaky. though its the first place i have seen that charges to use the cooktop in the kitchen.

Location is best thing about this hostel. 'a KITCHENETTE in every room' consist of a bar fridge and a microwave. Staff should be able to tell you where a supermarket is and offer a map, not just send you to a tourist info office to find it. Arriving an hour early will only get you a dirty look and a nasty welcome. DOnt use the safes, because ours were removed during the day with no notice.

The hostel staff were great and the location was ok once you found the place. None of the locals seemed to know where it was. Rooms are fine but walls are thin and dont extend to the top of the roof. So if you have loud people next door you arent going to sleep and be awake for that 5am bus.
