The staff were friendly & helpful and the room was clean & tidy. Stayed in a dorm the night before the London Marathon & it was comfortable and the showers were hot in the morning. The bar was nice, the canteen OK but a bit over priced and there were two computers available for about £1 or £2 per hour. My only gripe was that the downstairs area had a club night on so they switched off the computers and I couldn't use the credit that I paid for. All in all a good cheap place to stay in London.

Puerto Natales, Chile

This place was great. We arrived at 21.00 and the guy met us at the bus stop and took us straight to the place. We wanted to organise trips to see the Moreno Glacier and he rang around people to try to sort stuff out for us, and we arranged our next stop. He got up early in the morning and bought our bus tickets for us so that we didnt have to bother, and then walked us to the early bus on the way out. We were only staying for one night but he treated us like kings. A real scholar and a gentleman. Thanks very much for all your help, i will reccommend your Hostel to anyone i meet who is heading to Puerto Natales. Cheers.

Acme Guest House

Kathmandu, Nepal

Nice location in the city, right in the tourist capital of Thamel and therefore close to all the ATM\'s, shops, bar and resataurants you need. Doesnt feel like it is in a really tousisty spot though as it is tucked away around a corner and has a bit of a garden out the front. I am coming back at the end of my trek around Nepal before i fly out.

Asha Guest House

Bangkok, Thailand

I found this place eventually as the map on the hostelworld website and the directions given were not recognised by any of the taxi drivers that i asked. I had to find an internet cafe to get a map from the guesthouses own website (which was printed in Thai) and even then the taxi driver couldnt find it and he had to ring them up from his car. The room was very hot, the location is miles out of town and a pain to get to, even when you know where it is, and i wouldnt go back again.

its funny how we can have 60 rooms full of people who can find this place with no problem, yes the map on our website is in thai because its for the taxi drivers, its unfortunate some but cant read (thai or any other lauguage!). As for being miles from everywhere we are 5 minutes walk from the sky train which goes right through the center of the city...i get the feeling this person is yet again talking about ko sarn road ,if you are in bangkok for ko sarn (just getting drunk with other tourists)stay there.last but not leased "it was very hot"sorry this is thailand many be should have checked the weather forcast before coming to one of the hottest cities in the world.

This was the fourth of 4 hostels that i stayed at in Japan and it was in some ways the best and the worst, but worst really wasnt bad, the other 3 were very good. The good bits are the location which is close to a good shopping area and only a few tube stops to the centre of Tokyo. It was a very lively atmosphere and there were people in the common area literally 24 hours a dayso there is always someone about to chat to and stuff, and there is a bar run by the hostel group that is round the corner and does cheap drinks which lot of the people from the 3 hostels in tha area all use. Bad point was that there was only one shower on the 4th floor where i was and the next showers were in cubicles at the back of the common room which you had to walk through to get to them. Its a minor gripe but worth knowing as it was a bit annoying going up and down all the stairs.

This was the third of 4 hostels that i stayed in in Japan, but i was only here for one night. It was easy to get to from the railway station and then it was walking distance from all the sights of Hiroshima. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would go there again if i was going back to Hiroshima and i had a very pleasant stay.

This was the second of 4 hostels that i stayed in in Japan and it was probably the best. The location is fantastic (close to the railway station and the city centre), the staff were incredibly helpful and the other residents, both Japanese and foreigners were all friendly and nice. The 8 bed dorm was clean and tidy and the bathrooms werewell equiped and clean. All in all if you are looking for some cheap digs from which to see the sights of Kyoto then look no further.

bAKpAK Tokyo Hostel

Tokyo, Japan

This was my first time in a hostel in Japan but i have since been to 3 more and this one rates pretty well. The staff were pretty helpful, the facilities were good (nice common area/kitchen, washer, dryer, free internet) and the place was clean and tidy. Not a massive place like some of the places i have stayed at but it was pretty friendly and i met quite a few different people there. It is not too dificult to get to from Tokyo centre but if you are looking for somewhere convienient for late night partying then it might not be the place as the buses and trains from the centre stop at midnight and taxis cost a small fortune. That said i enjoyed my stay and i would go there again if i was looking for cheap digs in Tokyo.
