Air Con in the dorms was really annoying, especially in the top bunks. When somebody turned on the fans it felt like a blizzard was raging through the room.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this hostel. The rooms are nice, the staff is very helpful, it's a skip and a hop from a well connected subway station and it has a good vibe. Breakfast was good, but was a bit pricey. There are plenty of alternatives in the vicinity, though, if you look for somewhere different to eat. If you live on a dime, you might miss the kitchen.
Overall not a bad hostel, but there's sure room for improvement.

One of the few hostels with attached bar that I really like. The winter garden is a great place to hang around and everything else is neat and clean. The location is dead center and lot of sights are within walking distance. With the train station next door, everything else is easy to reach. The neighborhood seems a little bit dodgy to me (stripclubs, casinos, etc.), so that might be considered negative, if you mind that kind of stuff.
The rooms are a bit sterile, but on the other hand everything is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great for sightseeing (close to govt. quarter, potsdamer platz, etc.) but not necessarily for a night out, so keep that in mind.
It's a very beautiful hostel and has nice dorms. Bunkbeds are a bit small for people over 6 ft. tall though. Unfortunately it is not the best place for solo travellers. There's lots of groups travellers around who usually stick to themselves. Some well advertised, hostel organized activities would make the hostel perfect.
It\'s a nice little place and the lady who runs it is very nice. The location is a bit far off though and the area looks a bit shady. Don\'t expect a hostel-like features, such as laundry machines or a proper kitchen. It\'s more like a small Inn, than a hostel. The place is good to spend a few days, if the big hostels downtown are fully booked but nothing for a longer visit.
Nice hostel, with free activities every day. Clean and well equipped kitchen and facilities.
It's a really nice hostel, but lacking a bit of atmosphere. Kitchen (especially the dishes) is usually a mess and nobody bothers to clean that up. But the dorms are great!
One of the best YHAs I've ever seen. Very nice atmosphere and staff.
Everything seems to squeak. The doors, the beds. So it gets pretty noisy in the bigger dorms. The kitchen is far to small. But otherwise its a fairly decent hostel.
