Flying Pig Downtown

Amsterdam, Netherlands

This hostel was a good deal for an expensive weekend, considering the hotels were very expensive and out of our budget. The staff are excellent and there is good security. I wouldn't reccomend staying here if you can't be around smoke or dislike the smell. While smoking is kept only in the smoking room, the scent does linger and travel. My only complaint is the music was quite loud at the bar at night, but they do give out free earplugs.

This was a nice place to stay and is very close to the main underground station and lines. There is no sign outside identifying the place as a b

Hotel du Congres

Brussels, Belgium

This was a nice and clean hotel. We were very happy with our stay. No air conditioning so we slept with balcony doors opened, and maidsooened it during the day. Only complaint is our balcony was shared with another room so they could have easily come into our room.

A&O City Hackerbruecke

Munich, Germany

The location is ok, about a mile from train station. Check in was not good, staff did not tell us about amenities or offer bed linnens. We tried to get linens upon our return and they were out for rest of night. Bathrooms were not cleaned daily. Wide range of ages here, mixed dorms may range from 18-50 years old. Very noisy location.

Hotel Astoria- Venice

Venice, Italy

This was a nice budget hotel that is very close to the action in San Marco's Square. The rooms were small and simple but adequate.

Pitagora Two

Rome, Italy

This is very close to the train station which is great for travelers who have heavy luggage and don't want to have to carry it long distances or travel on the metro with it. It was very close to public transportation and some restaurants. It is not ideal for those who want to be in an area with a lot of night life or very close to the main attractions (Vatican, Pantheon, Colosseum).
