Dar Hafsa

Fez, Morocco

Air conditioning! Fabulous interior! The family that runs it is so lovely and welcoming (they also speak English very well). The location is very unique in that is is basically off one of the main streets in the Medina, but it is on a smaller alley way street which is very quiet at night. I slept so well!!! They also have breakfast ready for you at whatever time you request.

Riad Baraka

Chefchaouen, Morocco

HOT. If you are traveling in summer, I do not recommend staying here. No AC and no fans in the room. It is also a bit loud BUT the rooftop terrace is gorgeous and lovely. I feel a bit neutral about the staff, however they do prepare a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and croissants. That was the highlight of staying at this hostel.

Guesthouse Dar Othmane

Fez, Morocco

TRUE RIAD. There are only a few rooms so it is very intimate and very beautiful. The AC in summer was clutch! We had a beautiful breakfast every morning with fresh squeezed OJ and a variety of Moroccan breads and such. Really nice accommodating staff, and even though it was the most expensive place we stayed, it was well worth it. Thanks for the nice stay!

Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge

Marrakech, Morocco

Excellent atmosphere and staff. Not a true Riad but the decor is Moroccan and very colorful. If you are looking for a good youth hostel to meet other travelers, this is your place. Ventilation in the rooms is very poor and sleep isn't easy because there are so many other people staying there. If you travel in summer, I recommend sleeping on the rooftop terrace because in the rooms it is just too hot. Breakfast provided. Relaxed atmosphere with a true "make yourself at home" vibe.

Vera Cruz Porto Hotel

Porto, Portugal

The location was great, and one of the staff members was friendly enough, however one was very cold and rude. She seemed annoyed every time we asked her a question. One of the few hostels that actually provides one bed for the double room instead of two twin beds pushed together, but it was very uncomfortable and had back problems. The breakfast room was the best part of the hostel. Amazing view and who doesn't love free coffee, juice and chocolate croissants! Clean and good enough.

Atlas City Hotel

Munich, Germany

it was in a great location, 10 to 15 minutes walking to the city center.. the staff was very friendly and accomodating (they have awful pillows but we requested regular sized ones and had them when we returned to the room).. the breakfast should be free, because it is definitely not worth the 5 euro, but overall, we didnĀ“t have any problems.
