Chillout Lya Hostel Bar

Istanbul, Turkey

Not a fan of dark-coloured bedding sheets, otherwise a good overall experience, appreciated the amazing buffet breakfast (which even featured potatoes) and the water dispenser outside the room door (even if the dispenser literally had to be pressured to work). Staff were all helpful.

ExIstanbul House

Istanbul, Turkey

A relaxed, friendly, colourful place in a lively neighbourhood (intense nightlife) just off Istiklal Cd. Was perfectly comfortable in the tiny but well-fitted out single room I got (only quibble would be about the state of the bathroom ceiling - a problem with ventilation).

Sol de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca, Spain

A perfect match for a low-budget holiday, this small hostel couldn't be much closer to the beach (1 min. walk) and is an urban bus ride (1,10 euro, every few min.) away from Ciutat (Palma) centre. The staff are very helpful and you can get valuable advice from the manager when planning trips. A good continental breakfast included in price is a nice surprise (not marked in the offer). There's a handful of board games and books (German, English) at your disposal.

La Felouque

Rabat, Morocco

I appreciate much that while we were using the private beach entrance from the hotel late in the evening, a member of the staff took guard of the terrace door left open. But it seemed we were not welcome to benefit from the direct beach entrance as I was told at first that it was not possible. And we didn't receive the breakfast on time which resulted in missing the train to the centre, and the taxi was also not ordered as soon as we requested it.
