Ekeko Hostel

Lima, Peru

Ekeko is a very comfortable hostel with really nice helpful staff. Compfy beds, hot shower, good internet and big kitchen. My only recommendation is for the Hostel to post the directions (or email them upon request) on how to get to the hostel by bus (even though it's not direct and potentially riskier) since some long-term travelers have a tight budget. (Thanks Christen & David for giving me the instructions on how to get back to the airport by bus--i had no difficulties :-)

Great hostel with a great view. Comfy beds, great hot shower, nice common room, and helpful staff. It's a little hike from Plaza del Armas, but that's the price you pay for a great view. Right by South American Explorers, and near Prasada & Jack's- two great places to eat.

The Adventure Brew B&B

La Paz, Bolivia

I reserved inthe B&B but they tried to put me in their hostel instead. Then they said i had to pay a higher price to stay in the B&B. They agreed to the 1st night at the Hostelworld price, but said I may have to pay more for more nights. I'm very laid back & I did sleep well, but I packed my bags & left for another hostel when the receptionist made me feel highly uncomfortable about the whole thing 2 days later. 1st time &I've stayed in 75+ hostels. cold breakfast and dorm bathroom kept dirty.

Eco Pampa Hostel

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The most important thing to add to previous reviews is that you are not allowed to use the facilities upstairs (I.e. kitchen, roof) after check out. So when you couldn't sleep because of all the noise at night, they will ask you to leave the roof where you were trying to get take a short nap in peace & quiet. This beautiful hostel is best for people visiting BsAs for the first time and tick to the same beat as the night life here. If you are not new and you require sleep, maybe not add much...

Backpackers Kaweskar Hostel

Puerto Natales, Chile

I think Kawashkar might be my favorite hostel ever (and I've stayed at A LOT of them). Omar is great; he is really willing to help you with anything you may need... How comfortable the beds are, how great the breakfast is, everything there clearly shows how much he values hospitality. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Hospedaje Mi Rincon

El Chalten, Argentina

Very nice private twin rooms. Quite. Supermarket and natural food store to grabs snacks for hiking are close. Decent breakfast.

GreenHouse Hostel

Florianopolis, Brazil

Very nice hostel with nice staff and good facilities. I would say this is a great hostel if you are a staying in the dorms. The dorms are on the 2nd floor and seem to get a lot of air flow... However, if you are couple who wants privacy this may not be the best option for you. The private rooms are right above the bar, making it quite loud when music is being played... Plus cigarette smoke from people smoking below comes in.

Copa Fun Hostel

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I´ve stayed in hundreds of hostels around the world and I would say this one is decent and good value for your money. What really makes this hostel wonderful is the family that runs it. They are so warm, helpful and accomidating. They really care that you have a good experience in Rio and UNLIKE other hostels in popular areas such as Leblon (which triple stack the bunk beds and leave you no room to put your bag anywhere), THEY DON´T OVERPACK THE ROOM.

Iguazu Falls Hostel

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina

Great Hostel! The staff are very nice and helpful. If you don`t speak Spanish, they speak English. 1 block from bus station where you can get buses to everywhere. Airport shuttle will drop you off/pick you up here. Kitchen is OK but could use new plates. Breakfast is nothing spectacular but what you would expect from a hostel- coffee, tea, bread, jam, croissant. Beds are comfy, air conditioning in room, many showers, and lockers are decent size. This hostel is good value for money.

Globetrotter Inn London

London, England

This hostel is alright... Very good by London standards. Great beds, great location (it's nice to be in a bit quiter of a location away from busy streets). Their breakfeast is just cereal, toasts, & machine coffee/tea- so not very nice but they do have a kitchen. There's loads of places to eat 5 minutes away- also Sainsbury, Tescos, and of course yummy Marks & Spencers. If you like Australians then this is the hostel for you cus there's loads of them...

International House Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey

Best thing about this hostel: HOT showers. Downside of the hostel: it is incredibly noisy outside. So unless you are really tired or plan to stay out until 5am this hostel is not for you. Another problem we were assigned 2 beds that were supposed to pull out to make 4,but the beds were at an angle so it was impossible to have all 4 beds out at one time-that was a bit cheeky of the staff. For those that do stay at this hostel-remember the address b/c they don't have a sign showing their location
