Very messy in the rooms and kitchen, no free wifi, had to make my own bed and strip it at the end of my stay (did not expect to have to do this...what am I actually paying the staff to do!?) No lockers, very basic brekkie. Nice staff but wouldn't recommend. Too expensive for what you get.

Excellent value for money. Female dorm is basic but does the job. Nice tea and toast for brekkie. Great bike tour at night where he takes you to nice food places for dinner and to see a bit of the town, then you go back and all watch a movie together; very homely. Would recommend this place.

This hostel is a work-in-progress at the moment. Just now the downstairs is basically a building site. Upstairs (where the rooms are) is pretty much finished I think, although no lockers in the rooms. I didn't see any of the free breakfast when I stayed but I did wake up late (11am) so maybe it had all gone by then. Staff are nice and location is excellent, everything is clean, but just now the place is very much a work-in-progress, think it'll be finished within a month or so.

Nice building but not a sociable place so is very hard to meet people. Breakfast not included and towels only if you ask for them. Was a comfortable place and liked the free tea & coffee but I moved after 2 nights to another place that was a better location (closer to Love Lane) and had more of a sociable atmosphere.

Good wifi and location. Rooms are very small and cramped and there were Muslim men praying in my dorm room at all hours of the day, which was a bit strange. Hard pillows. Was good but nothing special.

Don't stay here. I booked a Halong Bay trip elsewhere (it was the same for cheaper) and the hotel staff got very annoyed. They wanted me to book it through them so they'd get commission. When they found out I had booked elsewhere they constantly lied to me & tried to scam me. They said they had contacted the tour company and there was "no record of my trip" so I should cancel and re-book through them. I refused, so they cancelled my trip and wouldn't let me on the bus when it came to collect me.

Really nice hotel, good location and value for money. Staff were lovely and cheap breakfast in the morning. Would happily stay here again.

Nice hotel and having a pool and brekkie included make it worth the extra money. The tours and laundry are cheaper across the road. Staff were ok but nothing special and location is not great, you are best hiring a bicycle to get into town or to the beach (also means you aren't bothered by touts when walking into town).

Highly recommend staying here. Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, great city to explore all on your doorstep. Brekkie included (nothing fancy but it's free!!) Tea and coffee 24/7, good social atmosphere. The only thing missing is having a towel supplied but I'd stay here again no problem.

Great hostel, nice pool, good food and drinks. Wifi a bit dodgy and need more power sockets in some dorm rooms. Lovely staff, worth paying a little bit extra in order to stay here.
At Eighty8 we listen to all customer feedback to react to our customers needs. Thank you for this feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We have since re-located our routers and found that the wifi signal is much stronger. We will look at the power sockets in the dorm rooms. Thanks again, safe travels.

Nice environment, rooms are basic but spacious. Could do with some more power sockets and showers but overall it's a good place to stay. Friendly staff, ok brekkie and good location.

Really nice place. We had a twin private shared bathroom with air con and definitely good value for money. Really nice, clean, sociable and good breakfast available. A little bit of a walk at the end of the day but nice to be out of the craziness. Would recommend this place.

Great hostel, lovely staff and decoration. Each bed has its own fan and power socket. Manager let us sit in the communal area and use wifi from 5am till midday check-in as we'd just arrived after an overnight bus; we really appreciated this. However, needs more wash hand basins as only has one for the entire hostel. Showers are cramped and sweaty as no fresh air in them.

Really nice hostel and good location. Ended up doubling my length of stay! Great lockers and really clean. Also had towels and good wifi. No common room but the rooms were friendly and spacious. Love the individual light and power socket. Owner Ryan was really friendly.

Wouldn't recommend this hostel at all - dirty, no atmosphere and the staff weren't helpfully at all. They couldn't tell me anything about Samui and spoke quite bad English. Don't think my room was cleaned in the 3 nights I was there. No facilities like common area or lockers, although the wifi was ok. Very noisy and difficult to sleep at night because of the construction happening outside.
