Sanlitun Youth Hostel

Beijing, China

This is an all around great hostel! Cleanliness might be below what American or Europeans are used to, but it is stellar compared to other places (even "3 star" hotels) I've stayed at in China. Staff is very friendly and provides great recommendations for food and local activities.

HI nihao, Thanks for your good comments, hope to see you next time. Regards

For Paris, this place is a great value. Bar in the hostel had cheap beers & friendly bartender. Location was pretty good; not far from Sacré Coeur and the Montmartre nightlife. Wifi only worked in common areas, breakfast was pretty standard each day but tasty (cereal, baguette, croissant). Definitely a younger crowd (many new to backpacking/travelling in general), but good atmosphere overall. The 2am closure and daily lock-out are definitely inconveniences, but for the price you cant beat it

Old Town Hostel Kanonia

Warsaw, Poland

We were booked in a room that was in a different location than the one provided, and directed to a large apartment a couple of blocks away. Staff was efficient and curt, but provided any information needed.

The Littlest Hobo

Budva, Montenegro

Only stayed for one night, wish we could've stayed more. The hostel was in a converted house, clean and spacious. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and provided good discussions to all that talked with them. Location was pretty good, approximately 10 minutes walk from the beach. Would definitely stay here again! P.S: In the directions to get to the hostel, the kindergarten is a little tricky to find. Just walk up and down the 'Mainski put' a little bit, and you'll find it.

Nika Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, Croatia

We stayed in a different location than the one listed, in a second house that we shared with the grandmother of the family who owned the hostel. Room was nice; had an AC unit, fridge, tv, and bathroom ensuite- wasn't expecting all that!

Mediterranean Youth Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

Stopped here for a quick overnight on our way to another destination. Hostel seemed pretty standard, with decent bunks and other amenities. The individual power outlets for each bunk was a plus, and the place seemed clean. Overall a nice standard hostel.

I came here for 2 nights in July2012. The hostel was extremely clean, is housed in an absolutely beautiful building. The only inconvenient part of this hostel is the location. While it is a close walk to the train station & city wall, it is pretty far from the drum/bell towers, muslim quarter, & other downtown hotspots. It is rather easy to catch a bus or a cheap cab (7-15 RMB) from these areas, so it's not so bad. It may have just been when I was there, but the staff was quick & cold with us
