Dream House Hostel

Kiev, Ukraine

I thought people were exaggerating in their reviews when they were saying that this is the best hostel they ever stayed at but I have to admit that everything was perfect. I was afraid the cafe would be too loud and prevent me from sleeping but it didn't at all. The staff was really nice and helpful, and the area it is located in is very lovely. I have already recommended it to people actually :)

We really enjoyed staying at this hostel. Everything was clean, breakfast was included, there was air conditioning in the room, and the staff was really helpful and welcoming. The only things that'd need to be improved would be security - none of the doors were locked, even the main one downstairs - and the shower cubicles, which are very clean, but there's hardly any space where you can leave your clothes, so dressing up gets a little tricky if you don't want to be naked in front of everyone :)

Sute Hostal

The hostel is good value for its price, most hostels were really dear (and booked out!). It's not located in the centre but frankly it wasn't a bother to take the metro. Besides the neighbourhood is more quiet and much more 'Spanish' than, say, the Barri Gotic which is really touristy. Staff was lovely. The only thing that bothered us was the fact that they didn't speak any Spanish (bit odd for a hostel in Spain?!). Also, no locks on the door of the dorm ... but it was safe regardless.

Very good value. We got a very nice twin private with bathroom, TV and kettle, and a filling Scottish breakfast for 24 euro. You need earplugs, though - the night clubs outside are very loud.
