El Guembe Hostel House

Puerto Iguazu, Argentina

On arrival there was no electricity because of the storm.Rooms are tiny, could hardly move as bags were all around without enough space to store them in wardrobe. No ladder to go up to top bed.Linen was worn out and had a funny smell.Lockers are small and in front of reception only for valuables.Luggage can be left after check out but no proper storage only in the space by the lockers.Have stayed at better hostels.

Beds and ensuite bathroom are good, though there isn't a base for shower so water flows everywhere. When there is water - there was no water for showers for two days.Kitchen is big and well-equipped.Staff does the minimal.Breakfast is basic with home made cake every day. There is in house entertainment so can be busy and loud at night. There were a lot of campers and people who stayed only overnight.Have stayed at better hostels.

Good atmosphere lot of common space.Very close to ciudad vieja and one bus ride from bus terminal.Dorms that open to the terrace can be loud and there's no key to dorms.Beds are comfortable, space under the beds used as lockers separated with a panel.Kitchen is used by staff too so can be crowded.Variety of activities offered and local entertainment (asado, salsa, live music).

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms. Quite big hostel, felt like being in a summer school camp, fun. They didn't have the type of room I booked and upgraded without any extra charge. Good value for money, definitely recommended.

Sleep Easy Hostel

Verona, Italy

Reception only available between 1pm-8pm, however they helped out with providing a right sized padlock for the locker. There is no kitchen, only vending machines. Room was on a very busy road, in the summer heat with windows wide open didn't get much sleep. Shower cabin very tiny. Within walking distance from the sights but the street itself isn't very pleasant. Not very good value for money.

Bedrooms are small, bunkbeds are squeaky, matrass too soft. Theres's no plug by the bed only in the middle of the room.Ensuite is tiny, but fit for purpose. It was quite warm day and there was a winter duvet.Breakfast is cereal, toast and jam.Location is good, tube station very close with good connections and you can find shops and places to eat nearby.

iWhrWhat sells this hostel is its location. Curtain around beds is a good idea but very uncomfortable that the showers are in the basement. Breakfast is not very good quality. It would be good to have a table or a chair i the rooms and also drinking water in the sink.

The location is very good, the staff is very helpful. There are not enough lockers in the rooms. They charge some extra money on top of booking fee for local tax (this is not shown on website).
