Friendly and helpful staff and owners. Good kitchen. Handy location
Great little hostel at Tulum. Thanks Cynthia for a great Xmas. Ten stars for this gen if a place.
Great hostel. Staff friendly and helpful. Good amenities. Nice breakfast. Would Def stay again.
Avoid on a Saturday night as music and karaoke from nearby bars kept me awake till 3 am. This is Cancun the night man said when I co maimed re noise! Can't close window so music belted in. Quiet the other 2 nights though.
Staff were great, the three meals generous. The social activitiesgreat.
The hostel was one of the dirtiest I've ever stayed in needs professional cleaners through. Walls and showers .Dirty girls panties and several used towels lying in bathroom. The kitchen had only a kettle two cups and two knifes. Nothing more. Excuse was that guests steal things.no curtin in bedrooms so lights at night and sun shining in at 5 am. The manager is a nice guy but there is no information other than bus around map on walls. No pampers or info available.
Looking forward to returning so think that covers it. That and my ratings.
Several of the amenities were not available, ie there is no swimmimg pool, television, dvds, board games, We had to change rooms the second night. The breakfasts were excellant but the evening meals, both with chicken, contained nothing but chopped up chicken bones and little or no meat. The accommodation at $11.50 was expensive compsred to other places in Sri Lanka. We were offered a tuk tuk and tour for 7000rupees and found another couple offred same tour for 4000. Do shop around....
great breakfast....helpful staff...

kitchen needs a good scrub up.
spotless and convenient, couldn't fault this place.
Lovely welcome, extremely helpful couple, very clean and lots of helpful tips etc.
This hotel is not the one advertised on hostel world. They have changed both the name and the location. The manager did reduce the price of our $22 room to $10 but we then discovered other guests paying $7.50 for similar , room. He blamed Hostel World for the discrepancy and offered very little else when questioned about this confusion. The address of Sapa Golden Terrace Hotel is given as 11 but Sapa Queens Palace, the new name is found at 11a in same street. I searched for the original hotel bu
Pool was the best ever, but although breakfast was excellent, the burger meal was best not to be had.
Unfortunately, the beach is very dirty along the entire strip but as there is a nice pool this wasn't too much of a hassle. Dan, the guy on reception is very helpful and friendly and I enjoyed my stay here.
Helpful staff, good location, friendly and clean.
Friendly, comfortable hostel.would recommend it to friends.
Little out of town butquick by metro.nice neighbourhood.
No key to door but theu did open up evetytime quickly but that also meant the group of peace corp vols knocking at 3am and 6am woke us up!
Lots ofs broken items ie light in bedroom flickered all night...no light near computor and had to wear head lamp to see keyboard. Toilet door broken, only very hot watet in bathroom and kitchen, no cold! Only one shower for about 20 people...kitchen had good selection of equipment for cooking...staff very friendly and helpful....
Didnt get to actually sleep here because after booking and paying deposit for 7 people gor 2 nights $18US. And having this confirmed, the hostel emailed me the next day and cancelled booking saying they were over booked. Tolded me to contact hostel world to get refund. Took several emails for this to happen but now have said refund in pipeline....wad most annoyed when i visited Golden Gobi to discuss this with manager and have him laugh at me and say this wasnt his problem!
Olga was fantastic. Gave us a lovely welcome, tea and biscuits. Cosy rooms and the best breakfasts...her family was alsovrry nice...
Further from town than we thought but buses do stop outside. Dorm room noisy at night as on a busy road and smoking area right outside room on a balcony! We had confused this hostel for similar named Baikalhal hostel in town...
Easy to find, near all facilities, unfortunatly lift broken and 4 floors to climb with baggage.....only spoilt by last night group chinese students doing masses of laundry in girls toilets and leaving scum and rubbish everywhere!
Nice welcome as arrived early and could shower and snooze till midday, great location and info....
Great hostel in a lovely city, staff on front desk very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and vety clean bathrooms. Couldnt ask for much more in a hostel. Would def stay again. Great begining to week on the Camino Santiago.
BUNK BEDS NEEDED TIGHTENING AND BATHROOM LIGHTS GO OUT AFTER 2 MINUTES AND VERY ANNOYING, BREAKFAST OK AND STAFF VERY HELPFUL.B IT OF A WALK TO CENTRE BUT CLOSE TO BUS STATION.
Kitchen was poorly equiped and this is not the cleanest hostel in Japan, Bed noise from traffic as close to main road. Common room could do with tables for computors.
One of the best hostels in Japan, Lots of activities to do in the region and daytrips organised by them are great. Kengi the guide to waterfalls and festival afterwards was great. Will stay here again another time but for longer than 3 nights..
Kitchen and common room very small
